'It's not funny at all': Forlorn Mark Wright reveals secret battle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder as he vows to help others with the same condition

Former TOWIE star Mark Wright has revealed his secret battle with OCD.

The 29-year-old presenter spoke about his hidden mental health condition on This Morning on Monday, explaining it can be where people feel the need to check things repeatedly or perform certain routine.

Strictly star Mark admitted he wasn't alone in his suffering as his older sister Jessica and dad Mark Senior have also been struggling with the common condition.

He said candidly: 'I have symmetry OCD, if I touch one leg in a certain place I have to do it on the same leg. 

'Growing up as a kid my dad had OCD, little habits he does and so does my sister Jess - we all have little habits, we have to touch things a certain amount of times."

The Essex hunk admitted since suffering with the illness he has set time aside to work with charities who help people with the condition.

Since getting involved with the worthwhile organisations, Mark discovered his fight with OCD isn't as extreme as he initially thought.

He said: 'Some of the guys I met have OCD so bad that they want to commit suicide. 

'With me, I'll have to turn on a light at a certain time or the volume has to be at a certain level - a lot of people have traits like this. 

'But the people I met recently have serious OCD. Some think it's funny but actually, when you do meet these people, it's not funny at all.'

Wearing double denim, Mark slipped on a grey denim jacket and charcoal coloured chelsea boots as he bravely opened up about his secret battle.

The TV star no doubt has the support of his wife Michelle Keegan - who recently confirmed she will be returning for the third series of Our Girl on BBC.

Northern beauty Michelle - who married Mark in 2015 -  shared a teaser for the forthcoming series that said: 'Husbands? They're overrated. I've got something much more important. I have a job to do.

The former Coronation Street actress took over from Lacey Turner to play the lead female in the latest season, but the BBC has announced that Michelle's character Georgie Lane will be back. 

Fans of the show will know that her army medic character was jilted at the altar by her fiance at the very start of the series, but the plot left conscientious Georgie still single at the end.
