Poundland is the go-to shop for all things cheap and cheerful but some customers wondered if the store had gone too far after spotting sex toys on the retailer's shelves.

For just £1, you can purchase the bright pink Vibrating Bullet - which even comes with gel and wet wipes.

And the sight of the personal accessory left shoppers in hysterics with many taking to Twitter to share their reactions.

It is thought that the products went on sale in 2015 but that the shop has recently expanded the range into more stores around the country. 

And rest assured, they have been given a rave review. 

Poundland's product was discussed on Channel 4's Sex Box where sexologist Goedele Liekens said the bullet was 'no different to something that you would pay about a hundred pounds for'.

One shopper went straight to Twitter to post a picture of their purchase and said: 'Omfg they sell a vibrator in poundland' with several crying-face emojis. 

Jamie tweeted saying: 'Who the hell buys a vibrator from Poundland? Surely it can't be up to much for a quid.'

Others soon joined in when they spotted the saucy sex toy.

Darian asked the Internet: 'OK why did no one tell me u can buy a vibrator from poundland'?

Angie reviewed the bullet and gave an honest and underwhelming reaction: 'That vibrator from poundland is just fine tbh.

'It's nothing inane but a vibration is vibration innit.'   

Another decided to inform her followers of her find, tweeting: 'Just to let you guys know that you can buy a vibrator & c*** ring from Poundland.

'Top quality.'

Sue became embarrassed when she received the vibrating bullet from Poundland as a Secret Santa gift one Christmas and forgot to put it away.

She said two engineers from BT showed up to test the phoneline and saw it in the kitchen. 

Tamara said she was equally as 'awkward' when her sister bought her a vibrator from the discount shop. 

Others, however, embraced the purchase.

Charlotte tweeted that her friend Charlotte 'officially bought me a poundland vibrator for my birthday which hasn't happened yet.'

Her picture showed a big sign across the products saying that the bullet cannot be purchased by anybody under 18 years of age.
