Thousands of rail passengers on some of the country's busiest routes are facing fresh travel chaos this morning as another strike in the bitter row over the role of conductors gets under way. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union are due to mount picket lines at the start of the three-day action today, with disruption set to continue until Friday morning. Thousands of frustrated commuters have taken to social media to complain about the cancelled, delayed and packed trains and stations (pictured this morning).

Tim Spector, a professor of genetic epidemiology at King's College London, is part of team behind the test. He says:'Studies have found that our blood's glycan levels closely track our chronological age'. In other words, different patterns occur at different ages - so how much you vary from the norm for your age is a sign you're ageing at a slower - or faster - rate than most of your contemporaries. Glycan patterns also change with the menopause because of the drop in oestrogen, which protects against ageing.

A McDonald's customer received a hero's reception after pouring his drink over a girl who is 'fat shaming' another man. The 'bully' and her friend berate the helpless chap about his weight, as he just stands there without saying anything. The blonde and brunette pair say that he is costing the NHS money by eating at the diner while already being too fat. The incident was actually a social experiment uploaded to YouTube a year ago, but it has just started to go viral this week.

Gerry McBride, from Dublin, proved that a simple trip to the cinema with his three-year-old son to see the heart-warming Pixar flick Finding Dory could turn into the decision from hell. The comedian unleashed an epic Twitter rant dissecting the plot and characters - before complaining that his energetic tot got sick of the film and began running manically around the theatre. The writer began his story of their trip on Sunday evening, and set the tone of exasperation with his first tweet. He wrote: 'We went to see Finding Dory this morning and let me tell you this, it's a great way to shave a few years off your term in Purgatory.'

Video footage that some viewers may find hard to watch shows the teenager had her locks completely ripped off. The accident happened outside a college in Baraut, a small city just over 40 miles north of Delhi, India. In a horrific accident the girl, believed to be around 16-years-old, was trying to take a selfie beside a ferris wheel. But she got dangerously close to the ride in order to get the perfect shot.

The only thing that saved Luke Yates from Hampshire in the horrible weeks and months after his wife Sam's death was the knowledge that she would have wanted him to go on living. When she died in his arms at the age of 28, his grief was so raw, so visceral that he thought he might lose his mind. Luke, a biomedical research scientist at Imperial College London, says he was 'haunted by terrifying flashbacks of the day she died, obsessed with the idea that I could have done more.

A mother and father in Wenzhou City, China's Zhejiang province were found in the rubble of their home shielding their daughter on October 11. They were found in rubble protecting their three-year-old after their building collapsed. The family were taken to hospital where the parents died some time later. The child survived.

Dramatic footage shows two men and a woman urgently trying to rescue a man in his seventies from his car which had plunged into a Hertfordshire lake and started to sink. Fortunately the lifesavers manage to get the back door of the car open and pull out the pensioner before the vehicle is swallowed up. He was taken to hospital but is believed to be uninjured.

Transport For London is investigating GoPro footage taken by a fellow cyclist, showing the bus turning a corner near Elephant and Castle, forcing the woman off the road. The cyclist does not hang back behind the bus as the two set off from a set of traffic lights at the same time. However, instead of letting her go round the bend before overtaking, the bus just squeezes past and clips her bike. Fortunately, she is able to stop and get off it before the double-decker does any further damage.

Using both hands and wearing a pair of heavy-duty oven gloves, the woman struggles to handle the phone, which is pouring with smoke. Onlookers at the branch of Burger King in the city of Incheon in South Korea shriek as the woman uses the heatproof gloves to place the phone on a table, before dropping the warped and melted handset onto the floor. The phone eventually stops smoking after landing on the ground, but when the employee lifted the handset from the table, the Note 7 had left behind a large black scorch mark.

The craze was started by North Carolina State University engineer Seth Schneider, who shared a blurry image of himself clapping his hands. He achieved the photo by pressing the button to take a picture, throwing the phone in the air and giving himself a high-five. New mother Shané Reyneke was training to be a dance teacher when she became pregnant. Now, the pilates teacher, believed to be from South Africa, straps her daughter to her chest as she dances. The two superheroes, Spiderman (pictured below right) and Ironman, were in Sao Paulo to celebrate the upcoming Children's Day. The men, who are real-life window cleaners, abseiled down Hospital Infantil Sabara (main) to greet the children. In scenes which could have come from a Spiderman blockbuster, the web-slinger and his Avengers accomplice made their way down the giant building before they said hello to the children (top right). Hospital bosses encourage the fun to help children relax whilst on the paediatric ward.

These are the shocking scenes were a Chinese woman was assaulted by a pervert while sitting on an underground train until she decided to slap her assailant across the face. The man refused to stop until the woman slapped him and started shouting at him. A fellow passenger filmed the incident and uploaded the footage on the internet.

This dizzying video shows the moment the fearless skydivers leaped from a hot air balloon to ride on the world's biggest swing. The 'Mega Swing' is a tiny seat which dangles on a 500ft rope between two hot air balloons. The skydivers, with their parachutes on their back and billowing red smoke attached to their ankles, took a seat on the swing before pushing off from the balloons. Footage, filmed by the adrenaline junkies, shows the stomach churning moment they plummet hundreds of feet before swinging back up towards the other hot air balloon.
