'Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did': Perrie Edwards 'mocks ex Zayn Malik's skills in the bedroom' in cheeky lyrics from new Little Mix single

She revealed earlier this year that she had found writing the new, and more personal Little Mix album 'therapeutic'.

And Perrie Edwards has seemingly used the first single from the record to spill the beans on her relationship with Zayn Malik - and she hasn't held back.

According to The Sun, the blonde beauty, 23, is heard singing a host of harsh lyrics in the new track, entitled Shout Out To My Ex - perhaps hinting at her former fiancé and their poor sex life.

The four girls draw on their past relationship experiences as they belt out the new punchy tune - with Perrie singing some potentially revealing lyrics on the track, according to the report.

One brutal line is speculated to be criticising the former One Direction member's skills in the bedroom, and showing sympathy for his new model flame Gigi Hadid.

The South Shields star allegedly taunts: 'I hope she gettin' better sex, Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did, babe.'

In addition to the sassy lyric, the blonde crooner is said to sing on the track: 'Guess I should say thank you, For the 'hate yous' and the tattoos, Oh baby I'm cool by the way, Ain't sure I loved you anyway.'

According to , the mention of 'tattoos' is in reference to the picture of Perrie's face Zayn had inked on his bicep during their time together in 2013.

Perrie's dig comes two months after the Pillowtalk artist appeared to rid himself of the intimate inking, after new girlfriend Gigi uploaded a photo of him on Snapchat - showing the tattoo to be fully filled in and covered.

A representative for Little Mix has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

The cutting song comes over a year after the blonde's bitter split from the fellow popstar.

Perrie had met Zayn in 2012 when his old band One Direction performed on the X Factor, with the pop couple getting engaged in August 2013.

But last August their shock split was announced, with Zayn allegedly asking the Little Mix star to move out of the house they had purchased just two months before the breakup.

Getting over it: Perrie admitted earlier this year writing the album had been like 'therapy' for her, revealing that the album 'It's very what's been happening in the past few months'

The empowering hit, which the girls are due to perform on The X Factor next week, is rumoured to be autobiographical after Perrie revealed the album was a reflection of her and her bandmates' lives.

She told Sugarscape earlier this year: 'It's very - and I know we probably said this about the last album - honest. It's very what's been happening in the past few months or the past year.

'We've been through a lot personally, emotionally and career-wise. Every aspect, we've wanted to just get off our chest and the best way to do it is with this album.

'That's why we're loving it so much. It's like therapy.'

As if the song was perhaps not evidence enough of Perrie's healed heart, the star was then seen kissing new man Luke Pasqualino at band mate Leigh-Ann's birthday on Saturday night.

She and her 26-year-old rumoured flame looked besotted with each other at the bash in central London - chatting and giggling together all night before being caught locking lips.

Perrie had previously confirmed her romance with the Our Girl actor last month, coyly telling Mirror Online that the pair were seeing each other and that it was 'going alright'.

The song will be premiered worldwide for the very first time on Sunday 16 October when the girlband are due to perform the track on The X Factor results show.

Shout Out To My Ex will then be available worldwide to download and stream straight after the performance.

Written by Little Mix, Camille Purcell, Iain James and Electric and produced by Electric, Shout Out To My Ex is a 'break up song', the band says.

The track is the first single to be taken from their upcoming fourth album, due for release this November.

Perrie adds: 'We're really proud and excited about our new album and can't wait to share the new music with everyone.

'Shout Out To My Ex was unanimously our favourite choice for the first single. It's the perfect taster for what is to come!'

Jade added: 'Shout Out To My Ex is a song that we're sure loads of people can relate to. It's all about moving on after a relationship ends to bigger and better things, and leaving the past where it should be.'
