Tiffany Trump and her dad Donald both awkwardly ducked one another as they tried to share a kiss after Sunday night's debate.

Video shows Tiffany approaching her father first to give him a kiss, but he instead reaches out behind his daughter to shake the hand of her boyfriend Ross Mechanic.

Then Tiffany ducks her head as her father tries to give her a peck on the cheek, and instead gives his arm a quick rub and pat before telling him: 'You did a good job.'

Both Donald and Tiffany then turn to speak with Ivanka, who did share a kiss with her father on the stage Sunday night.

The awkward encounter between father and daughter came after Tiffany spent the evening sitting with her sisters-in-law Vanessa and Lara Trump and three of the women accusing Bill Clinton of sexual assault.

She was also joined by her boyfriend Mechanic, who sat next to her for the debate.

Mechanic and his family are all registered Democrats.

Tiffany was the only one of Donald's children who was not allowed to sit in the family box. Those four seats were instead given to Melania, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric.

Donald's youngest son Barron did not attend the debate.

The Republican hopeful had wanted Bill Clinton's accusers to sit in the family box, but that request was denied prior to the event.

The awkward non-kiss between the duo came just two days after audio was released in which Donald could be heard bragging about his sexual prowess with women using lewd and derogatory terms.

'You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful - I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait,' Donald says on the tape, the transcript of which was first published by The Washington Post.

'And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.'

The other person on the tape, then Access Hollywood host and current Today anchor Billy Bush then comments: 'Whatever you want.'

Donald replies to this by saying: 'Grab them by the p*****. You can do anything.'

None of the Trump children have commented on the tape, but Donald's wife Melania did release a statement over the weekend calling her husband's comments 'unacceptable and offensive'.

Ivanka, who has been her father's most vocal supporter throughout his campaign, has remained surprisingly silent in the days since the release of the audio.
