'He started crying when I told him!': Peter Andre and wife Emily reveal sweet way he discovered she was pregnant... after admitting she's already having contractions

They announced they were expecting their second child in May.

And Peter Andre and wife Emily MacDonagh have revealed the adorable way the 44-year-old singer was informed that he was to be a dad for the fourth time.

Talking to OK! magazine, the mum-to-be, 27, confessed she enlisted the help of the couple's first child Millie, two, to make it almost like a game for her husband - who then became very emotional at the news.

She explained: ‘Millie and I wrapped up the test and put it in a little bag. When Pete got home I told him we had got him a present. He didn’t get it and was just looking at the test. He thought I’d just bought one to do!'

Laughing about the event, she added: ‘Pete started crying when I told him I was pregnant. He was really happy.’

The pair, who married in Exeter last July, announced they were expecting their second child earlier this year, and have been preparing for the new addition by moving into a new family home.

The sprawling mansion, located in the affluent West Sussex, was once lived in by Hollywood actor Tom Cruise, and boasts a swimming pool, home cinema, gym and private guesthouse.

Yet even the loved-up pair chuckle at their own extravagance, with Pete admitting in the interview: 'It’s so huge, it’s Mission Impossible to find your way around!'

Emily, who grew up in humble Taunton, added in agreement: 'It’s gorgeous, but I still don’t think we need all this space!’

However despite the joyous news of a new addition to their family and bagging their dream home, the couple, who began dating in 2012, revealed that the pregnancy has not been plain sailing.

Turning attention to her pregnancy, Emily revealed: ‘I had to go to hospital two weeks ago because I’m having contractions already, which makes me think this baby could come early like Amelia.’

The medic, who is 16 years her husband's junior, admitted she had to call her mum in panic at the pains in her stomach.

'I thought she would say it was fine but she told me to go to the hospital,’ the worried young mum continued.

However the panicked pair were later given the all-clear by doctors, although she admits no one knows why the contractions are occurring so soon.

The pretty brunette added: 'The doctors don’t know why I’m having them, but the baby is happy, healthy and moving around.’

The new arrival marks Peter's fourth child - having already fathered two kids Junior, 11, and Princess, nine with ex-wife Katie Price. 

And the mysterious girl crooner admitted that his young clan all get on like a house on fire - leaving him in no doubt that the next child will be fully welcomed by the whole family. 

Talking on Loose Women last month, the singer gushed: 'Princess and Junior have bonded so well with Amelia and it's created this incredible family unit for Emily and I.

'I really wanted another boy but at the moment, Amelia is melting my heart. I keep saying to Emily, "One more baby".

He even went as far to admit that their new offspring may not be the last, admitting: 'The other day though, she said, "It won't be just one more baby - I think we'll have a few more kids".'
