'She cries when I sing!' Katherine Jenkins reveals her baby daughter isn't impressed by her skills... but admits her late father would be proud

She's a successful opera singer who has sung in front of the Queen.

But not everyone is impressed by her voice, namely her 1-year-old daughter Aaliyah.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain on Monday, the 36-year-old Welsh beauty admitted her baby girl cries when she practices her scales.

'We recently celebrated her first birthday', the blonde beauty told presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

But she may not have sung at the little girl's birthday as she laughed, 'She cries when I sing.. specifically when I practice my scales'.

And speaking about her late father, who passed away aged just 50, she admitted he would have been very proud to witness her success.

'I have little habits like putting my right shoe on before my left and praying to my dad before I go on stage', she said

'He was a house husband and would drive me to all my singing lessons,' she revealed.

'He didn't see my success but would have been so chuffed. I believe he's watching. He would have been so proud that I performed for the queen and worked with Shirley Bassey'.

And Katherine revealed she has a few pre-performance routine which she 'freaks out' about without.

And much to Piers' horror, Katherine admitted she has already started Christmas shopping.

'I'm on tour throughout December so everyone will get crap presents if I don't start now', she explained.

Katherine and Andrew tied the knot at Hampton Court Palace in September after a whirlwind seven-month romance.

The singer began dating the American artist and film director back in February last year. The pair got engaged in April and married five months later.
