She’s the edgy rapper who has won the hearts of much of the nation during her performances on The X Factor.

According to her LinkedIn profile, she has worked for ARG Search Ltd for five years, but has spent more than a decade in the recruitment industry.

Among her achievements she lists that she was Middlesex County Tennis Champion in 1992 and represented Great Britain as flag holder at the 1996 North American Maccabi Tennis Games, winning a bronze medal.

And unsurprisingly, she won an award for ‘biggest personality’ at University College London School of Management earlier this year, where she is studying for a Masters.

Her entry into music may well stem from her university days at the University of Salford where she graduated with a degree in music technology and studio production and composition, according to her profile.

The revelations of her real life achievements hasn't been able to stop a popular fan theory that she is really David Cameron.

One user, Gavin RC Moore, wrote: 'We're all getting punked - Honey G is actually David Cameron in a wig.'

Another user known as Aoife said: 'I just cannot take a woman in her mid 30's that calls herself Honey G and looks like David Cameron seriously #XFactor.'

Darren Griffiths added: 'David Cameron quits Parliament to focus on winning the #XFactor as Honey G.'

Despite her awkward dance moves, Honey G has proved a huge hit with the fans.

The wannabe rapper, 35, who is being mentored by Sharon Osborne, closed the first live show with a rendition of Tupac's California Love which Simon Cowell admitted he 'loved'.

Taking to the stage in a gold tracksuit - which Nicole Scherzinger said made her look like a baked potato - she was on good form.

Wearing a studded baseball cap and high-top trainers, she added her trademark gangster sunglasses to the mix.

Flanked by a troupe of male dancers, she was also fanned by pyrotechnic props.

It drew a huge response from the crowd, and even the judges, with Louis Walsh going as far to say Tupac would be 'so proud' of her performance.

Even Simon Cowell had some words of praise for her act.

He said: 'I don’t know what’s just happened. But here’s the weird thing…I loved it.

'I just really like you. I thought you weren’t serious when you first came in. But now..I realise that you are!'
