Making waves! Alanis Morissette sports a wetsuit on family day at the beach after welcoming second child

With a beautiful new baby to bond with, Alanis Morissette has been keeping a low profile since giving birth in June.

But the Ironic singer, 42, made space in her life for some time with her oldest child - five-year-old Ever Imre - as she joined her son and his father for a day at the beach.

Leaving daughter Onyx Solace at home, the threesome looked cute clad in wet suits while they caught some waves on their boogie boards in Malibu.

The mother-of-two sported a long-sleeved pink and black wet suit nearly three months after giving birth to her baby girl. 

The Grammy winning singer went without make-up and pulled her wet tresses back into a ponytail bun.  

As the precious family splashed around in the surf on their colorful boards, Alanis took photos with a waterproof camera.

Her 36-year-old rapper husband Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway wore a full body wet suit which he had pulled halfway down, after their time in the ocean, exposing his muscular chest and tattoos.

The pair were both focused on their son, who showed no fear as he joined them in the surf. 

The blonde tyke wore a red life preserver and grabbed both of his parents hands as he walked in between them on the beach, dragging his boogie board behind him in the sand.

Don't get us wrong, at the beach we love topping up the tan with a piña colada in one hand and scrolling through the Daily Mail app on the ipad with the other, but sometimes it's good to get off that sun lounger.

The Jagged Little Pill hit-maker was also spotted out and about shopping in Los Angeles on Sunday.

The Canadian beauty dressed down and went without make-up as she was spotted grabbing some groceries along with some fresh flowers. 

Alanis dressed her post-baby body in a pair of cotton shorts and a breezy grey short-sleeved blouse.

She teamed the relaxed look with a pair of tropical printed slippers and slung a small black leather purse across her body and appeared carefree during her outing.
