Once the reality TV bug struck Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell, they never managed to recover.

The couple who got engaged at the end of the 20th series of The Bachelor are launching a new reality show about their relationship this Tuesday on Freeform.

After a star-studded Bachelor/Bachelorette party in Las Vegas , they swung by Times Square this Monday to dish Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After on Good Morning America.

Higgins, who was eliminated from the 11th series of The Bachelorette last year, explained that 'we realised that our life was gonna be in the public no matter what, that we couldn't necessarily just get back to normal. We had a new normal.'

As a result, 'we might as well invite people in again to kinda answer all the question they ask us, you know, in our life.'

Asked about 'something crazy that happens,' Bushnell dished that 'we go camping with some familiar faces.'

One such face is that of Chad Johnson, the famously acid-tongued bombshell who competed on the 12th series of The Bachelorette this summer. In August, he was thrown off Bachelor In Paradise for a drunken rampage during which he appeared to have defecated in his own shorts.

Bushnell quipped on Good Morning America: 'A little drama there.'

According to her 28-year-old fiancé, watching identical twins Emily and Haley Ferguson try to camp 'might be the best part.'

'Oh, my gosh!' the 25-year-old added. 'They don't like bugs or being outdoors in general, so that was fun.'

The programme will also see the couple turn to counselling. The software salesman shared that 'one of the coolest parts about having the platform that we now have from the show is that we can stand up for things that we believe are right.'

Reflecting that 'counselling was something that was taboo to most couples and most people in general,' he revealed that 'we wanted to go to counselling before we had the issues, to really, you know, be able to talk out and communicate the things we have.'

The duo also revealed that whilst Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After will largely take place in Denver, where they live, it'll also follow them on their various travels, such as the Vegas trip they began last Thursday.

They hauled along a gaggle of fellow The Bachelor and The Bachelorette stars. The women included Ashley Iaconetti, Amanda Stanton and the Ferguson twins; the men JJ Lane, Jared Haibon and Tanner Tolbert.

Inasmuch as this was, in fact, a Bachelor/Bachelorette party, the sexes split up for the evening.

Bushnell took advantage of their roomy limousine to dance somewhat oddly, whilst the men enjoyed a bout of beer-soaked karaoke on their bus.
