Man City's Bianchi on verge of return to Italy as Lazio swoop

Manchester City striker Rolando Bianchi is close to completing a permanent transfer to Lazio, according to the Italian club.
The Italian striker, who joined City from Reggina for £8.8million at the start of the season, has been strongly linked with a return to Serie A in the January transfer window.
Struggling outfit Torino had hoped to sign the 24-year-old but it appears Lazio have beaten them to it.
"There are still all the practicalities left to sort out, such as the medical and signing the contract," Lazio spokesman Giacomo Mazzocchi said.
"But the deal should be completed today or tomorrow."
Lazio are 14th in Italy's top flight, two points clear of the drop zone.
Should Bianchi complete his transfer he could make his debut this weekend when Lazio travel to Turin to meet Torino.
