Steve Perryman answers whether Tottenham are in the process of taking over from Arsenal as north London's leading team for an extended period, as well as who, on current form, are top dogs and who will finish higher in the Premiership?
Spurs now have a different look to their squad and I like the players they have brought in. It's hard to say whether Spurs can overtake Arsenal in the long term, but if Martin Jol continues as well as he has done so far and is backed in the transfer market, then hopefully we can carry on.
One thing that we have to admit is Arsenal have done very well with Arsene Wenger. He has shown his ability in the transfer market and he has had the backing of the club all the way through.
We are making steps in the right direction and Jol is a believable manager. I watch him on TV and think: "I can believe what you say".
If he has the same effect on the players and the chairman, then long may he continue at Spurs.
Who, on current form, are top dogs? And who will finish higher in the Premiership?
Spurs to finish above Gunners.
