There's no more painful time for the newly single than Valentine's Day.

But it appears that with a little support, Tulisa Contostavlos managed admirably, and was able to put her recent break-up with N-Dubz bandmate Fazer to the back of her mind.

The 23-year-old tweeted snaps of herself involved in hi-jinks with PA Gareth Varey, and a few other pals yesterday.

And it seems her entourage made sure their boss didn't go without.

Tulisa posted one photo of herself holding some pink balloons and Valentines-themed presents, writing 'I love my boys...they got me..nuff love x.'

She also wrote a few affectionate messages to 'her boys', saying: 'Sick night wid @CoreyChorus @tydollasign @rachelrabin ..cc I give u props!Thanks 4 takin care of ya dog on Vday!2 much love xxx'

She added: 'Oh sh*t 4got 2 @ @garethvarey guess its cus we come as 1!lol speak of the devil!y the hell u aint got me nothin 4 vday?#iluvroses haa'

The photos showed the singer pulling faces and playing with her balloons in her hotel room with the lads.

She even made a joke of the media attention surrounding her new single status, tweeting one of the men present: '@CoreyChorus oi!!Wheres my damn V day card?According 2 the press were dating!What kind of a date r u?Im not havin it!LMFAO#tosspots'

There's no doubt that Tulisa takes herself a little less seriously than some of her pop star compadres.

Some music divas wouldn't be caught dead scoffing calorie-laden hot dogs and wearing garish yellow rain ponchos.

But down-to-earth Tulisa Contostavlos couldn't have cared less as she enjoyed a day out at Universal Studios in LA this week.

Proving she's just a big kid at heart, the singer was pictured in fits of laughter after being soaked on the Jurassic Park ride with friends.

Her previously perfect blow dry was pulled back into a scruffy ponytail as she sat in the front row of her boat, and threw her hands up in the air as they were splashed.

The excursion with her mates will have proved a distraction from the fact that the newly-single star will be spending Valentine's Day fresh from her break-up with bandmate Fazer.

Tonight, the singer tweeted a Valentine's greeting to her fans, wishing couples a romantic day - and cheekily suggesting that singletons might enjoy a popular X-rated toy instead.

Tulisa was spotted snacking on a hot dog from a takeaway as she and her entourage strolled about the amusement park.

Her carefree attitude to food seems to work for the star, who was pictured showing off a very enviable bikini body earlier at her hotel pool.

Wearing a purple bikini, Tulisa showed off a flat stomach and long trim legs.

The N-Dubz star soaked up the sunshine as she dipped her feet into the pool and strolled around the balcony at the trendy Standard hotel.

She piled her long brunette hair into a high bun and unlike so many other celebrities, remained make-up free and natural as she swam and sunbathed.

Tulisa was joined by her assistant Gareth Varey, who has accompanied the star on her Los Angeles sojourn to record new material for her upcoming solo album.
