Gwyneth Paltrow manages to make even a mundane grocery store sexy as she posed for the new issue of Harper's Bazaar.

The actress, 44, shows off her body in the photos that have her sitting on a checkout counter in a designer bikini while dripping with diamonds.

And she then picks up a gallon of milk from the chilled aisle wearing a swimsuit and stiletto heels.

The blonde lifestyle guru and Goop founder opened up to the magazine about how her late father Bruce Paltrow called her out for being a jerk at the height of her movie career.

She'd won the Best Actress Academy Award for Shakespeare In Love and, as she told interviewer Samantha Bee, 'was very much believing my own hype.'

Gwyneth recalled: 'I was sitting with my dad, feeling great about my life and everything that was happening, and he was like, 'You know, you're getting a little weird…You're kind of an a**hole.' And I was like, 'What the hell?''

'I was totally devastated. But it turned out to be basically the best thing that ever happened to me, she added. 'What my dad said to me was the kind of criticism where I was like, 'Oh, my God, I'm on the wrong track.' I'm so grateful to him for doing that.'

In the intervening years between her Oscar and now, Gwyneth married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, had two children and got divorced.

She and the musician continue to co-parent their children Apple, 12, and Moses, 10, despite the end of their marriage.

The Iron Man star acknowledges that raising her kids in the glare of fame is a challenge.

'They are going to have to fend off a lot and protect themselves from a lot of projections and prejudice about who they are, coming from the family that they come from,' she explained.

'My daughter is super ballsy. I always follow her lead. I actually don't need to encourage her to take risks. She likes to push herself; she wants to see how far she can get. It's really inspiring to see that in a young woman.'
