Trump ad goes after Hillary's health – and shows her struggling to get into the Scooby van – as he says Clinton lacks the 'fortitude, strength or stamina' to run the country

  • New ad is titled 'Dangerous'
  • Shows Clinton stumbling, collapsing and coughing
  • Voiceover lists a litany of foreign policy 'failures'
  • Commercial will run on TV in swing states

Donald Trump's campaign released an ad on Tuesday that reboots his warnings about Hillary Clinton's health, casting her as too week and feeble to occupy the White House.

Titled 'Dangerous,' the 30-second campaign commercial mostly focuses on the global fallout from Clinton's tenure as America's secretary of state.

It begins with an ominous montage of threats facing the United States, including North Korean tanks and ISIS terror army soldiers preparing to behead captive infidels.

But while a voiceover issues warnings of a world boiling over, pictures show Clinton in a coughing fit, requiring help to climb a short flight of stairs, and collapsing as Secret Service agents half-carry her into her armored van.

That videotaped stumble came outside this year's 9/11 memorial service in New York City, after Clinton fainted due to pneumonia-related dehydration and appeared to go limp as agents lifted and dragged her into the vehicle.

'Hillary Clinton failed every single time as Secretary of State. Now she wants to be president,' the ad's soundtrack states.

'Hillary Clinton doesn’t have the fortitude, strength or stamina to lead in our world. She failed as secretary of state. Don’t let her fail us again.'

The Trump campaign said the ad will air nationally, and will make appearances in TV rotations in key swing states.

Major General Bert Mizusawa, a retired U.S. Army Reserve flag officer, said in a statement that '[t]here is no reality in which Hillary Clinton is fit to serve as Commander-in-Chief.'

'Her decades-long involvement in domestic and foreign affairs has endangered the lives of our United States Armed Forces and our people, and the weak leadership under Clinton-Obama has diminished our stature on a global scale.'

Mizusawa closes by taking a shot at Clinton's physical ability to manage the most powerful political position in the world.

'Even the casual observer can see her lack of stamina has such a great effect on her already poor decision-making ability, that should she become President, the world would become an even more dangerous place,' he said.
