Ready for business! Crown Princess Mary dons an elegant Hugo Boss blouse as she attends a conference for cancer research

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has always been a passionate advocate for health and is a patron for both the World Health Organisation and the Danish Cancer Foundation. 

And it was no different on Friday when the royal participated in the 2016 ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) Congress in Copenhagen.

The 44-year-old looked effortlessly elegant as she arrived at the event in a short-sleeved grey Hugo Boss blouse over a chic black turtleneck.

She also wore a pair of tailored black trousers and styled her look with a green brooch, an on-trend Cartier Love Bracelet and a Quidam clutch. 

Keeping it understated, the Princess wore her hair in a Sixties-inspired style with her locks down and tucked in behind her ears.

Princess Mary took time to meet with a number of researchers and practitioners in oncology from around the world and heard about new research and the most effective advancements in cancer treatment.

The conference, which was held at the Bella Centre, had a theme of 'From Health Care to Patient Care' and saw more than 18,000 experts and therapists sharing their experience and knowledge. 

The Princess was photographed in in-depth conversations with those involved and also assisted in launching a partnership between the Danish Cancer Society, the Danish Society for Clinical Oncology and ESMO.

During this meeting, the Princess heard the organisations share their take on the Danish cancer treatment model. 

Between raising her four children and appearing at scheduled events, Princess Mary serves as patron for some 25 international organisations.

These include the World Health Organisation Regional Office for Europe and the United Nations Population Fund, where she supports their work to promote maternal health in more than 150 developing nations.
