Her husband may have been more than 10,000km away making friends with the British royals.

The stylish royal, who is married to King Willem-Alexander, looked in her element in the Argentinian capital - which is also her birthplace - as she threw on an eye-popping green leopard print dress.

Take a walk on the wild side in a leopard print dress by Givenchy

The Duchess of Cambridge was in the Netherlands today, but she missed the chance to meet Queen Maxima, who is on a visit to Argentina.

They might not have been face to face but from a fashion perspective we still saw them both looking very chic indeed! Kate opted for a smart cornflower blue skirt suit by Catherine Walker for her first solo overseas visit, whilst Maxima went all out for glamour in a Givenchy leopard print dress, which she styled with Christian Louboutin heels and a Chanel bag.

We love the flattering midi length of this dress, which is available to buy in the sale over at Farfetch (click right). The gorgeous green color sets it apart from all the other animal print pieces in your wardrobe, plus this distinctive print has also been worn by both Irina Shayk and Bryce Dallas Howard.

But if the real deal is a bit more than you wanted to spend, we've found plenty of options to help you recreate the look.

Máxima, 45, opted for a striking Givenchy number, which is currently down from £2,080 to £1,040 in the sale.

She added a pair of patent peeptoe heels and a matching Chanel chain bag as she met with the UN Resident Coordinator, Rene Mauricio Valdes, as well as Chancellor Susana Malcorra.

The Queen kept her make-up simple, adding a touch of berry lipstick and wearing her signature blonde hair in loose curls around her shoulders.

She looked delighted to be back in her hometown as posed for photographs next to the Argentinian flag and met with a long line of officials; later on in her visit she is expected to meet with UN dignitaries as well as the country's president.
