And Kellie Bright has been taking it easy during her pregnancy so far, looking the picture of health when she stepped out in North London on Sunday.

The EastEnders star, 40, opted for comfort when it came to her maternity style, donning a cosy looking grey tracksuit that highlighted her growing baby bump.

Kellie's two-piece leisure wear was set off with black sandals and a funky pom pom embellished handbag.

The bold accessory, featuring gold tassels and a woven, multi-coloured style, caught the eye as she sauntered along.

The soap favourite, who plays Linda Carter in the BBC programme, opted for minimal make-up and wore her hair pinned back from her face.

Kellie announced she was expecting her second child with husband Paul Stocker in May.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she admitted she fell pregnant very easily the first time around with son Freddy, now four, but it was a different story when it came to conceiving their second child.

The actress, who is due on 26 November, explained: 'We were trying for more than a year and I was very aware that I wasn’t getting any younger.

‘We feel very lucky that we’re having another baby.'

A finalist on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, Kellie said: 'I think Strictly helped as it took the focus off trying and the fact that I was nearing 40.'

Kellie took to Twitter to share her good news with fans, reassuring them that she wouldn't be taking too much time away from the soap.

'Shhh... Don't tell anyone, but I'm pregnant!' she tweeted. 'My hubby and I are over the moon & looking forward 2 meeting our little person in Nov #mama@40.'

She added: 'And for those of you that want to know, I will be returning to @bbceastenders after I've had the baby #queenvicismyhome #LindaCarter4ever xx.'

Danny was quick to congratulate her, tweeting: 'Just when I thought I couldn't get any happier. x'

He also joked about what show bosses will have in store for his character when Kellie takes a break to have her baby.

Referring to 89-year-old June Brown's character Dot Branning, he quipped: 'While you're gone I'm assuming an affair with Dot is on the cards. ;) #Mick4Dot (sic).' 

Kellie and Paul tied the knot in 2014 in an intimate ceremony in Cornwall, attended by a selection of her EastEnders co-stars.
