It is a big week for Ashleigh Banfield, who is currently hard at work preparing for the launch her new HLN show.

Primetime Justice With Ashleigh Banfield will premiere next Monday evening and feature an A-list actress as their first guest according to Banfield, who also shared some more exciting news with DailyMail.com.

Banfield revealed that she and her boyfriend of over two years, Chris Haynor, got engaged this past August.

Haynor, 52, managed to keep the entire thing a surprise she explained, popping the question in front of family and friends while the pair were on vacation in Ontario, Canada with Banfield's two young sons.

Surprise: 'It was an extremely intricate proposal,' said Banfield, who revealed that only three of her friends were given a heads up about Haynor's plan

Challenge: 'Haynor called my ex-husband's ex-girlfriend, because only she knows how to make my favorite cake,' said Banfield of the dessert the two enjoyed after the proposal

'It was an extremely intricate proposal,' said Banfield, who revealed that only three of her friends were given a heads up about Haynor's plan.

'My friends and family were already going to be there for a party, so he thought this would be the perfect opportunity to surprise me.'

The biggest challenge for Haynor was their location according to Banfield, who explained that he had to get poster board and markers from a drug store a few towns over to write out his proposal message, which he then hid in a bag so she could not see it before the big reveal.

Even more difficult though was getting the perfect cake for after her popped the question.

'That was one of my friends he had to tell because he had to find a baker five towns over to make the cake,' said Banfield.

Even more impressive was how he got the recipe.

'He called my ex-husband's ex-girlfriend, because only she knows how to make my favorite cake,' said Banfield.

Banfield has spent the past three years hosting Legal View with Ashleigh Banfield on CNN, the sister network of HLN, and is now hard at work preparing for her new show.

'It is really, really exciting,' she said about preparing for Primtime.

'It is exhausting and everyone is working hard but I have the best team and we are having so much fun.'

She was not willing though to give away the identity of the A-list guest who will be joining her for the show's premiere next week.

'I can't just go ahead and give away our bi surprise,' she said.
