The actress went from a recurring role to series regular before leaving the show in season 10.

Tessa's character had feelings toward Dr. Arizona Robbins, played by Jessica Capshaw.

Dr. Robbins was in a relationship with Dr. Callie Torres; however, actress Sara Ramirez - who played Dr. Torres - left the series at the end of season 12.
