He is getting ready to be a father for the seventh time at the grand old age of 61.

And actor Kelsey Grammer looked thrilled as he went shopping with his pregnant wife Kayte in Beverly Hills on Monday.

The former air stewardess looked positively glowing as she flaunted her burgeoning bump in a floral maternity dress.

The Frasier favourite was looking in good health, and showcased his stout physique in a tight blue T-shirt, shorts and trainers.

Staunch Republican Kelsey, who revealed he is a 'Trump guy' at the airport last month, seemed in high spirits, despite the prospect he may have to pull out his credit card at some of the well-heeled area's notoriously expensive boutiques.

English rose Kayte, who is expecting a little boy, is about six months along. It will be baby number seven for the Cheers favourite.

The X-Men hunk also has two children with ex-wife Camille - Mason, 14 and Jude, 12 - as well as daughters Spencer, 32 and Greer, 24 with exes Doreen Alderman and Barrie Buckner respectively.
