Check her out! MIC's Binky Felstead recreates 90s style in plaid shirt-dress for Sunday Brunch appearance

She is a thoroughly modern TV star.

But Binky Felstead stepped back in time when she appeared on breakfast television, this weekend.

The Made In Chelsea cast-member, 26, was a guest on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, where she seemed inspired by the 90s grunge era.

Wearing a red and black shirt-dress in a plaid design, the number also featured flared sleeves and a matching choker necklace.

Wearing her hair down in a centre-parted, part-braided 'do, she certainly cut a retro figure.

In fact, she looked directly influenced by the indie decade, which boasted Nirvana and Pearl Jam as cultural highpoints.

The scene was - and still is - a million rather than her native West London, which is known for being posh and privileged.

Adding some heavily-defined eye make-up to the mix, she was definitely a little reminiscent of Claire Danes' character, Angela Chase, in My So-Called Life.

The show, which remains a cult classic, launched the careers of both Danes and Jared Leto while epitomizing the grunge era.

Thankfully, Binky's look worked - proving that fashion really does work in cycles.

Showing off her culinary skills, she prepared some salmon sushi during her appearance on the popular programme.

Not that she was alone, of course. She was also joined by her fellow MIC co-star Mark-Francis Vandelli.

Naturally, he was on typical Sloane Ranger form and sported a crisp, white shirt with a blue blazer and the obligatory pocket square.

He matched the look with some plaid trousers, which no doubt caused a slight migraine for some viewers - especially when the pair were on screen together.
