'I've never felt so vulnerable in my life': The Bachelorette favourite Lee admits he struggles to watch Georgia Love date his 'mates' and regrets not talking to her at masquerade cocktail party

He's the mechanical plumber with the good looks who has had no problems in the past sweeping Georgia Love off her feet.

However, on Wednesday night's episode of The Bachelorette, front-runner Lee Elliott felt like he'd was falling far behind in the competition.

'I've never felt so vulnerable in my life. We're coming to the end of this [competition] and time with Georgia is the most important thing,' he admitted, after revealing he didn't get a chance to grab the 27-year-old for a chat during the night.

Reflecting on putting his heart on the line during the masquerade cocktail party, the 35-year-old confessed: 'I'm feeling foolish. It is the most nerve-racking situation I've ever put myself in'.

As the brunette giggled away while taking an impromptu quiz with Matty J, Lee admitted he was 'struggling' to watch on.

'It's not easy seeing a girl that you have feel like you're developing feelings for and dating, essentially, your mates,' he admitted.

Leading up to the rose ceremony, Lee divulged he was 'more nervous than I've ever been because I haven't spoken to Georgia yet. I'm still just waiting for my chance.'

'I've not spent anywhere near as much time as I'd like with her. I'm not confident, by all means,' he added.

The handsome bachelor even went onto say that he hoped he'd still be in the competition after the rose ceremony, but wasn't so sure.

'The numbers are dwindling very rapidly and who's to say that... I mean, we've lost two this week already. Who's to say we don't lose another two tonight?'

The 'two' Lee was alluding to were Rhys and Sam - who were both sent home during a double date, when Georgia found they were on the reality TV show for the wrong reasons.

Lucky for Lee, the beautiful former TV reporter, he did get a rose.

However, Todd and Matt weren't as lucky and were sent home in a double elimination.

Lee is now only one of six suitors left in The Bachelorette vying for Georgia's heart.

The Bachelorette continues Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7.30pm, Network Ten.
