Sylvester Stallone's teen half-brother gets his teeth knocked out and suffers shattered jaw in brutal attack near Florida State University campus

Sylvester Stallone’s 19-year-old half-brother Dante Stallone has suffered brutal injuries after being viciously attacked on Saturday night.

Dante was near the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee when two men brutally assaulted him.

The teenager suffered a shattered jaw and a split palate, as well as broken and knocked out teeth.

Police are now searching for the suspects.

Dante told police he was walking near Stadium Drive at about 3am when two men approached him and one punched him in the face, the Tallahassee Democrat reported.

Stallone ran from the area closer to FSU campus and was able to lose the suspects. 

A friend then took him to a local hospital. The two suspects are described as black men.

Dante is the son of Frank Stallone, Sr. and his fourth wife, Kathy Stallone.

Rocky star Sylvester, 70, revealed his heartache over the situation, telling TMZ on Monday: 'This is a wonderful young man, a straight-A student who would not cause any trouble. 

'It's just so tragic and terribly sad.'

Sly has endured plenty of family heartache over the years. His son, Sage, died of heart disease when he was just 36 in 2012. His half-sister, Toni Ann, died that same year.

Sly has another son, Seargeoh Stallone, and three daughters, Scarlet Rose Stallone, 14, Sistine Rose Stallone, 18 and Sophia Rose Stallone, 20.

He has been married to Jennifer Flavin, the mother of this three daughters, since 1997.

Meanwhile the Rocky actor has several upcoming projects that he has been working on.

In May 2017 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due to be released and Sylvester is set to make an appearance. It is has not been revealed what character he will play.

He is also going to be in a biopic called Scarpa, based on Gregory Scarpa a former capo and enforcer for the Colombo crime family. 

Omerta is another film he will star in which looks at the life and crimes of American mob boss, Raymonde Aprile.

Then in April 2017 he is set to voice a character for the animation movie Animal Crackers.

A family must use a magical box of Animal Crackers to save a run-down circus from being taken over by their evil uncle Horatio P. Huntington.

Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Patrick Warburton, Danny DeVito and Ian McKellen are also voicing characters in the movie.
