They've set the dancefloor alight on Strictly Come Dancing so far.

And Laura Whitmore and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice were hard at work as they arrived for rehearsals bright and early on Tuesday morning.

The Italian hunk's outing comes as former Strictly dancer Gleb Savchenko confessed that he thinks Giovanni should have stayed with his ex-girlfriend Georgia May Foote because she's such a 'lovely girl'.

The blonde bombshell was rocking a pair of coordinating trainers and a slogan emblazoned handbag.

Giovanni followed behind, keeping his look casual in khaki trousers and a leather jacket, a pair of earphones around his neck.

Meanwhile, Giovanni's friend Gleb - who quit the show to be with his wife and their five-year-old daughter in the US - told Now magazine he was upset that he had split from former Coronation Street actress Georgia.

He revealed: 'I loved them being together on the show and they became such a cute couple, so I was really disappointed when I knew they'd broken up.

'I was like, "You know Giovanni, she's a great girl, you don't want to miss that one - you should have stayed with her".'

'That’s all I ever want it to be. When all this happened he called me and told me not to let any of it get to me, to ignore it and get on with the show.

'To be honest he’s far too young for me and even though I’m single I’m still going on a couple of dates when I have the time - but not with Giovanni.'

Danny continues to top the Strictly leaderbaord each week, albeit sharing the top spot with other celebrities, but has been the most consistently impressive celebrity throughout the competition thus far.

 His efforts have most certainly not gone unnoticed by eager punters who have backed the ex Hollyoaks hunk further as the favourite to win and his odds are now red hot at 6/4 from 2/1.
