She has a starring role in new drama This Is Us.

And the excitement of promoting the show certainly put Mandy Moore in a good mood as she flaunted her feminine figure while appearing on Extra in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The singer-turned-actress looked resplendent as she posed on the red carpet ahead of her appearance on the show at Universal Studios.

The 32-year-old was certainly looking in fine in her sleek, yet demure, dress, which she coupled with a pair of flat black shoes.

But Mandy made sure she made use of her most spectacular accessory - her pearly white smile - as she grinned her way through her posing and interview sessions.

The Candy warbler seemed delighted to talk about her role as Rebecca Pearson on This Is Us, and appeared alongside her on-screen husband Milo Ventimiglia.

Speaking about her role as the young mother, the actress said it is stressful when they have to shoot scenes with real babies rather than dolls as, 'The babies are only allowed to shoot for 20 minutes a day.'

But perhaps Mandy had another reason for smiling as she hammed it up at the popular entertainment show.

For she has just sold her longtime home in the Los Angeles enclave of Los Feliz after 14 years.

The warbler did not quite get what she had hoped for but she still made herself a tidy profit on the 4,700-square-foot house.

Andy Roddick's former squeeze, who divorced musician husband Ryan Adams earlier this year, first listed the five bedroom and five bathroom house for $3.199 million back in June and ended up selling it for $2.95 million.

However it is hard to feel too sorry for the Walk To Remember star, as she paid just $1.725 million for the 1927-built propoerty when she bought it in October 2002.
