Dressing down for your flight is one thing, but skipping wearing footwear is another level.

Elle Fanning shocked onlookers as she walked through one of the world's busiest airports barefoot.

The 18-year-old bizarrely was not wearing any shoes - nor seemed to have them with her - as she touched down on Tuesday night.

Flying in from the East Coast seems to have really taken its toll on the Super 8 star as not only was she barefoot, she looked like she was all but ready to fall asleep.

Her tiredness combined with her decision to not wear shoes made for a rather dangerous exit from LAX.

Grossness and germs aside, the teen really risked her famous feet by taking on the escalator without shoes.

Pulling her luggage behind her, the actress did not even look down to ensure she stood away from the jagged moving edge of the mechanical stairs.

Elle then passed off her wheelie bag to an assistant as she walked out of the airport and onto the footpath, still barefoot and carrying both her handbag and a Goyard tote from which clothing threatened to spill out.

While she went without shoes, the rest of her look did not scream comfortable flying clothes.

The teen instead wore a pink tailored suit with a visible white lacy white corset showing.

The actress skipped putting on any makeup and wore a pair of reading glasses.

The barefoot star was jetting back into Los Angeles after a screening of her new film, 20th Century Women, at the Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday. 

Directed by Mike Mills, the film will be released in the U.S. on January 20, 2017.
