And Gerard Butler looked every inch the cool rider as he made full use of the warmer climes in Beverly Hills by taking his motorcycle for a spin on Tuesday.

The 46-year-old actor looked super-stylish in a leather biker jacket, blue jeans and a black helmet as he zipped through the streets of Los Angeles.

Keeping it simple with a green top underneath, the talented thespian opted for a pair of comfortable brown shoes for his low-key day out.

Gerard kept all his essentials in a cross-the-body satchel bag and seemed happy and relaxed as he enjoyed his day in the Californian sunshine.

The actor was sporting a rugged look and fashioned designer stubble on his chin.

There was no sign of his stunning model other half, Morgan Brown, who he's been dating since May 2014.

The couple are believed to have reunited in April following a brief break earlier this year.

A renowned ladies' man, the relationship followed his split from Romanian model Madalina Ghenea, 27, in 2013.

Gerard has been open about his love life in the past, admitting in an interview with InStyle last year that he has searches for a certain type of girl.

'I love a woman who has a good sense of her own style - when, no matter how simple it is, you can just tell she wears it well,' he explained.

'Often times when I go to awards shows, sometimes it feels like a hassle, like "Gosh, I have to go through all this?"

'Then you get there, and you see a woman dressed up with her hair and makeup done, wearing a beautiful dress, and they look so elegant and sexy and beautiful. It's nice to play dress-up.

'The woman I will fall in love with will look great in that, but she is also somebody who can completely kick it in a pair of sandals and jeans and t-shirt. That's my [kind of] girl.'

Meanwhile, Gerard has been busy on the career front with his latest movie, The Headhunter's Calling.

The film which also stars Alison Brie, is about a workaholic man whose son's cancer diagnosis forces him to take a closer look as to what's important.
