She has documented her fight against breast cancer on social media as a means of helping others with the dreaded disease.

Shannen Doherty was the one getting a helping hand - from her mom Rosa - as the two hit up Pavilions supermarket in Malibu on Tuesday.

The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 45, managed to carry two shopping bags out the store while her parent lugged the large supply of paper towel rolls.

Shannen covered her head - bald now as she undergoes chemotherapy - with a pink scarf.

The rest of her casual attire consisted of black track trousers and a navy blue white-striped top along with grey trainers.

She had a pair of tinted aviator shades over her eyes to keep away the sun's autumn glare.

Shannen - who revealed last summer that her breast cancer had spread to her lymph nodes - has spoken lovingly of her mother's unwavering support.

'Sometimes there’s nothing like a mothers love to help get you thru,' Shannen posted recently along with a sweet mother-daughter snapshot.

'Thank you mom for always being there and being so strong for me. I love you.#mamarosa #cancersucks #fightlikeagirl.'

As she continues her chemotheraphy sessions, Shannen has also been bolstering her diet with healthy fruits and veggies.

She also firmly believes that staying active will 'flush the toxins out and keep blood moving.'

Last week, Shannen described in another Instagram post how she was 'not feeling too great,' nauseous and 'very achy' after chemo.

On her side: Shannen's husband Kurt Iswarienko (pictured with her last summer before chemo robbed her of her hair) has said how lucky she is to have 'this man in my life'

'I'd prefer to be in bed doing nothing, but guess where I'm heading? Gonna go work out!,' Shannen said.

She explained: 'After chemo day. I believe that just moving helps so much in the healing process It's not always easy and sometimes I can't do it the next day but I try to make an effort to get the blood flowing and the toxins out of my body thru working out.'

Doherty has been documenting her battle against cancer since being diagnosed in 2015, and is nearing the end of her chemotherapy and radiation treatment after a mastectomy in May.
