It's a cow-tastrophy! Beyoncé steps out for vegan meal dressed in head to toe leather as diva tries to support husband Jay Z's meat-free lifestyle
It seems that Beyoncé is missing the point to becoming a vegan.
In an effort to support her husband Jay Z with his vow to eat vegan for 22 days, the 32-year-old diva was seen accompanying the music mogul to meat-free eatery Crossroads in Beverly Hills on Friday.
But while the songstress might have the right intentions, she definitely sported the wrong wardrobe for the occasion.
Are you kidding? On Friday, Beyoncé was spotted at vegan hot spot Crossroads dressed head to toe in leather
Don't have a cow, man: The singer is proving that you are what you don't eat with her cow-inspired ensemble
The mother of Blue Ivy was dressed in leather from the tips of her patten-leather red stilettos to the top of her cow print top with leather sleeves.
While the singer looked stylish in her skin-tight black leather pants, they did little to send a message that she was serious about a non-animal product lifestyle.
Beyonce paired the cow-inspired ensemble with a bright red lip and manicure to match her shoes while her blonde tresses were tied in a tight bun.
The Carters' new lifestyle: Jay Z and his wife are attempting to go vegan for 22 days
What is she thinking? Leather and fur is a bad decision fashion choice for animal-friend outings
This isn't the first time that Bey managed to fail the vegan-friendly wardrobe code.
Yesterday, while stopping by Native Foods in Westwood for a bite of plant-based goodies, Beyonce wore a camouflage coat lined with a fox fur collar.
The singer was wearing a £2,915 Christopher Kane wool-blend parka with real fur collar, a strict no-no for any serious vegan.
Earlier in the week, the couple was also spotted at organic eatery Café Gratitude, in Los Angeles, where they chowed down on animal-free truffles and lentil salads.
Fur heaven's sake! Beyonce has apparently joined husband Jay Z in his quest to become vegan until Christmas Day to get healthy
Their outing came just one day after Jay Z revealed that he and his wife were inspired by a close friend to give up animal food products until December 25.
il hitmaker wrote on his Life and Times Blog on Tuesday: 'Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you've found the way.'
'On December 3, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based!'
Breaking habits: If Beyoncé is serious about her new vegan lifestyle, she will have to lay off the leather... no matter how good it looks
'This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a plant-based breakfast everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought.'
He added: 'It just feels right! So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse. I will post my progress. Any professional vegans out there that have any great food spots please help out! Please!
'I don't know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We'll see. P.S. B (Beyonce) is also joining me.'
Lunch date: The loved-up pair seemed happy and relaxed as they left Crossroads Restaurant after their meal
Tickled pink: The pair were both giggling away as they made their way outside to their car
Dressed to impress: Beyonce's leather skinnies and red patent stiletto heels made for a rather sexy ensemble
On the nose: The songstress was all smiles despite her fashion faux pas as she left the eatery with her husband a shirt time later

Pre-fall collection 2013
Erm…we’re not so sure that Beyoncé understands quite what it means to be vegan. In an effort to support her husband with his 22 day vegan diet, the 32-year-old queen of pop was yesterday seen accompanying him to a restaurant free of animal products in Beverly Hills.
How supportive, you might think, that’s until you notice she was dressed head-to-toe in said animal products, from her scarlet LEATHER stilettos, to her black LEATHER pants and finally a COWHIDE sweater. What can we say? At least she didn't dress head-to-toe in pepperoni print the previous day. Oh wait…
That’s not to say she didn’t look great, quite the contrary, we actually love her sweater. From Givenchy’s highly anticipated pre-fall collection, the leather sleeves, ribbed trim and animal print motif make for the perfect monochrome ensemble. It’s just a shame it’d cost the earth to own.
Fortunately, the high street has cottoned onto this meat-loving trend. Check out our top three cow print sweaters for some budget-friendly alternatives. We love Topshop’s classic black and white top (below), team with towering stilettos and your skinniest jeans for a chic daytime look.
