Ageless beauty Monica Bellucci, 52, shows off her youthful figure in stunning sheer black ensemble as she promotes new film at BFI Fest

She may be 52-years-old but Monica Bellucci resembled a woman half her age as she stepped out on the BFI Film Festival red carpet on Saturday.

The stunning Italian actress showed off her slim figure in a semi sheer shirt and lacy skirt as she arrived at the BFI Film Festival on Saturday night. 

Promoting new film On The Milky Road, the star wore her dark hair shiny and loose around her shoulders while she wore smokey eye make-up around her eyes.

 Her dress meanwhile, featured sheer black sleeves and a ruffle alongside the chest while a boxy grey bag added to the look.  

Monica - who began her career as a model in 1977, has never been busier and has been doing the film festival rounds to promote her latest flick, On The Milky Road.

According to Variety it tells 'the fairy-tale-ish love story between a Serbian milkman (played by director Emir Kusturica) and his Italian-Serbian object of desire (Belucci).'  

The acting legend recently told the Telegraph newspaper that she doesn't make too much effort to stay young, eschewing the gym and enjoying treating herself to cakes, pasta, wine and cigarettes.

Monica explained: 'I’m not someone who wakes up at 6am to go to the gym.

'The truth is that I like cakes and pasta, the odd glass of wine and a very occasional cigarette. My advice is: eat well, drink well, have good sex – and laugh a lot. The rest comes all on its own.’

Based on the graphic novel by Raymond Briggs, the film shows a progression through the lives of a couple played by Brenda and Jim from their courtship in the late 1920s to their deaths in the early 70s.
