He's part of the family! Gigi Hadid brings along boyfriend Zayn Malik on a visit to her mother Yolanda's home

Yolanda Hadid has made it very clear that she wholeheartedly approves of her daughter Gigi dating Zayn Malik.

And it seemed like the 23-year-old pop star was part of the family on Tuesday when he joined his model girlfriend for a visit to her mother's home.

Gigi was seen pulling up to 52-year-old Yolanda's Los Angeles apartment building in her bright blue BMW, with Zayn in the passenger seat.

The 21-year-old was dressed casually for the outing in black skinny jeans and matching studded boots with a slouchy grey jumper which fell off her shoulders.

Gigi, who was in Shanghai just a few days earlier, wore her blonde hair down and it still appeared to be a little wet.

The beautiful star sported a touch of make-up and finished off her look with a thick white choker and a miniature black rucksack on her back.

Meanwhile Zayn was also dressed down in a denim jacket with red plaid lining over a black T-shirt, skinny jeans and lace-up leather shoes.

The former One Directioner added a black baseball cap which had the words 'but first, coffee' printed on it in white.

The outing marked the first time that Zayn has been spotted since his former fiancee Perrie Edwards revealed he ended their engagement via text message, according to a leaked excerpt from Little Mix's new book Our World.

No doubt Gigi was looking forward to seeing her mother, who previously starred on The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

The model has been jet setting to promote her collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger and was unable to join her sister Bella and Yolanda at the Global Lyme Alliance gala over the weekend.

However Gigi did share a picture of her mother and sister, who have both been affected by the debilitating illness, with the caption: 'So proud of my mamma and sissy for sharing their battle with Lyme Disease to spread awareness!'

It's unclear how many times Yolanda may have met her daughter's boyfriend since Gigi and Zayn started dating in November of last year.

In December, the former model revealed that she hadn't yet been introduced to Zayn, but told Entertainment Tonight that Gigi was 'loving life'.

However she gave her seal of approval to the romance last month when she shared a loved-up photo of the young couple to her Instagram page.

Yolanda captioned it: 'Happiness is seeing your kids happy and realizing they turned out to be really good and genuine people........ #Family #Love.'
