Taylor Swift asks a judge to seal evidence, including one particularly 'personal and sensitive photograph', which claims to prove a radio DJ 'lifted her skirt and groped her' backstage
- Swift filed the motion Friday, citing her privacy and the likelihood of influencing a jury should the documents be released
- The 'Bad Blood' hit-maker claimed Mueller groped her bottom at the Denver Pepsi Center when they were taking a photo together in June 2013
- Mueller, who was fired after the allegations emerged, sued Swift for slander in September 2015 claiming it was his boss who groped her
- She filed countersuit accusing Mueller of assault and battery a month later
- Among the court documents is one photograph, Exhibit 14, which is 'extremely personal and sensitive in nature'
Pop star Taylor Swift asked a judge to seal 'extremely personal and sensitive' evidence claiming to prove that a radio DJ groped her bottom in 2013.
Swift filed the motion Friday to bar the public from viewing hundreds of pages of court documents and photo evidence to dismiss a civil lawsuit first filed by Colorado DJ David Mueller.
The 'Bad Blood' hit-maker claimed Mueller 'lifted her skirt and groped her' backstage at the Denver Pepsi Center when they were taking a photo together before a performance.
Mueller, who was fired from his radio job after the allegations emerged sued Swift for slander, claiming his superior at the Denver radio station KYGO, Eddie Haskell was the one who sexually harassed her.
Swift's countersuit states: 'Ms. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault – it was Mueller – and she is not confused in the slightest about whether her long-term business acquaintance, Mr. Haskell, was the culprit.'

The motion, which states the dangers of influencing a jury, also notes the importance of protecting Swift's privacy since the photographic evidence 'will be shared for scandalous and prurient interests.'
According to the Denver Post, the motion states: 'In addition to the likelihood of these documents swaying a jury, it is all but assured that the photograph will be shared for scandalous and prurient interests — reasons that have nothing to do with the public’s interest in the Court’s decision making.'
'The fact that Plaintiff is alleged to have assaulted Ms. Swift only raises the likelihood that evidence will be widely reported, discussed, and spun in a way that will likely influence the jury pool,' the motion states.
'…The interest in a fair and impartial trial outweigh any public interest in access to the documents identified above.'
Mueller also joined the Swift's motion to seal the documents, which include witness testimonies and photographs.
Among the evidence is one particular photograph, Exhibit 14, which the motion says is 'extremely personal and sensitive in nature and should not be shared with the public until absolutely necessary [at trial].'
If the motion is granted and Judge William Martinez ends up dismissing the suit against Taylor, the photograph taken on the night of the alleged assault will never be publicly revealed.
Taylor Swift showed up for jury duty in Nashville, Tennessee, last month, but was dismissed on the rape and kidnap case after revealing to the judge she would most likely be biased
During the screening process the 26-year-old hit maker relayed that she is already involved in a civil case in Colorado after claiming was fondled by a DJ backstage at a concert
Muller was working for the Colorado country music station 98.5 KYGO when he was informed that he would have to attend a meet-and-greet at Swift’s concert on June 2, 2013.
The radio DJ brought his girlfriend to the show as he was allowed a guest.
When he and his girlfriend went backstage to meet Swift, he says they took photos and received autographs.
He claims the interaction went smoothly and that the singer ‘remained pleasant as she bid them goodbye’.
Later on the night, Mueller says he ran into a co-worker who bragged that during his meet-and-greet, he put his arms around Swift and grabbed her buttocks when they were taking a photo.
Swift’s bodyguard later approached Mueller, accusing him of being that man.
Mueller claims he was then kicked out of the venue, banned from Swift concerts for life, and then fired by his bosses because of the allegations.
After he was fired, Mueller filed a lawsuit against Swift in September 2015, in which he accused her of causing him to be terminated and demanded unspecified damages.
Swift shot back at the former radio host’s lawsuit one month later by filing a counter-suit in which she accused Mueller of assault and battery and demanded compensatory and punitive damages for his alleged actions.
Mueller first filed a slander lawsuit against Swift, saying her allegations caused him to lose his job. She fired back with a countersuit accusing him of assault and battery
She admitted to taking a photo with Mueller and his girlfriend on the night of the concert, but she claimed it was Mueller - not his co-worker - who improperly and inappropriately groped her when taking a photo.
The counter suit stated: 'Ms. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault – it was Mueller – and she is not confused in the slightest about whether her long-term business acquaintance, Mr. Haskell, was the culprit.
Swift said that she was suing to serve as an example to other women who may resist publicity after going through similar acts, and said that any monetary judgement she won would be given to charity.
The suit stated that Swift was surprised, upset, offended and alarmed that the DJ had lifted up her skirt and groped her buttocks.
She said that the event caused her severe anxiety because she didn’t expect a man she didn’t know would grope her private and intimate body part during an event she had opened to fans and radio hosts.
She claimed that following the incident, she was forced to give a several-hour concert for 13,000 fans while still distressed about being assaulted.
