The film, directed by Michele Mitchell and Nick Louvel, hits theatres in the US on October 21.

The actress wore all black to the event just days after she accused a top Hollywood executive of rape in a series of tweets last week.

On Monday Rose wrote an open letter to Hollywood as she pleaded for her colleagues to take a stand and no longer work with sexual predators.

She wrote: 'Dear Hollywood, To the women and men in the entertainment industry who know exactly whom and what I am talking about, I say be brave.'

Rose joined at the screening diretor Michele Mitchell and  Victoire Mukambanda, Cecile Mukarugwyza, Serafina Mukakinani, and Godelieve Mukasarasi

Telling her truth: Rose has accused a top Hollywood executive of rape in a series of tweets

'Do not work with those you know to be offenders or you are no better than they,' she pleaded. 'Take a stand. You are culpable for your actions. Stop rewarding sociopaths. Every time you sanction abhorrent behavior, you are aiding and abetting a crime, that makes you no better than a criminal.'

She went on to write: 'How many more stories do you have to hear before you do the right thing and stop rewarding men that are predators? Why are you so cowardly that you would take the softer, easier way out? I can tell you this, your soul is a blighted one if you do so.'

'Your personal legacy, the very fabric of your being, is at stake, so fight for it,' she concluded. 'I know you have it in you to be better. I know you have it in you to break free from the bonds of secrecy. So do it.'

Meanwhile, last week McGowan, 43, made the allegations of assault on social media, and also said she was 'shamed' by others in the industry in the wake of the alleged attack.

On Monday the 43-year-old wrote an open letter to Hollywood as she pleaded for her colleagues to take a stand and not longer work with sexual predators

'A (female) criminal attorney said because I'd done a sex scene in a film I would never win against the studio head,' she said, responding to a hashtag, #WhyWomenDontReport.

'Because it's been an open secret in Hollywood/Media & they shamed me while adulating my rapist #WhyWomenDontReport,' the second tweet read.

'Because my ex sold our movie to my rapist for distribution #WhyWomenDontReport,' a third post said.

McGowan's final post on the topic read: 'It is time for some goddamned honesty in this world.'

Earlier, she had replied to a message from British film producer Cassian Elwes, tweeting: 'When no one else in Hollywood would listen, you heard. When no one else in Hollywood would do, you acted.'

McGowan (left in 2016, and right in 2005) made the allegations on social media, and also said she was 'shamed' by others in the industry in the wake of the alleged attack

McGowan posted four tweets on Thursday detailing the alleged incident that she says was carried out by a 'studio head'

The actor, who is best known for her role on the TV show, Charmed, stopped short of naming her alleged attacker.

However, many people close to the industry are reportedly narrowing down who it could potentially be.

Earlier this week McGowan took part in a video calling out Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

She has also gone through a dramatic transformation over the years, changing from a starlet who dazzled in daring frocks on the red carpet to a outspoken activist and feminist.

McGowan, who was become a strong feminist in recent years, and said red carpets were like 'visual rape'

McGowan's activism is a far cry from years earlier when McGowan made headlines for wearing a sheer metal dress to the 1998 VMAs, while she was dating shock-rocker Marilyn Manson

In an essay for the Hollywood Reporter published last month, the actor took aim at the red carpet scene, describing it as 'visual rape'.

'My experience on the red carpet has been a journey of defiance, then one-of-a-kind acquiescence and finally a refusal to play by invented rules passed down through an aged system,' she wrote.

'The selling of a self I do not recognize, to publicize a self that wasn't me, stopped making sense. Whether it is known to those inside of Hollywood, it looks very antiquated.

'One of the last red carpets that I did, the Entertainment Tonight correspondent asked me if I, like Cate Blanchett, felt it was inappropriate for the camera to pan up and down my body. I told her that it felt like visual rape.'

McGowan and Manson were engaged for two years, before they separated and McGowan began dating film director Robert Rodriguez in 2007

McGowan and Rodriguez (pictured together in 2007) split up in 2009. The actor has since gotten married, but she was divorced earlier this year

The powerful statement appeared to be a far cry from years earlier when McGowan made headlines for wearing a sheer metal dress to the 1998 VMAs, while she was dating shock-rocker Marilyn Manson.

The couple was engaged for two years, before they separated and McGowan began dating film director Robert Rodriguez in 2007.

That relationship broke down in 2009, and she then married artist Davey Detail in 2013.

The couple divorced in February this year.
