'I Got You Bae!': Cher, 70, reworked her classic hit I Got You Babe for the Millennial generation on Thursday night's edition of The Late Late Show

She covered her shoulders with a lavish, feathered black and white coat, and she wore her long raven locks in a sleek style.

Joining the star was host James Corden, who dressed as 80s-era Cher for their special collaboration.

He sported a vintage leather jacket, glam-rock hair and a metallic top prompting Cher to ask him, 'what makes you think you could be Cher?'

Lines such as, 'They say we’re young and we don’t know, how to find love without using your phone,' and, 'Well I don’t know if all that’s true, cause you swiped me and baby, I swiped you' in reference to dating app Tinder had the audience in stitches.

The pair simply changed the famous chorus to 'I got you, bae'.

James made reference to the cheeky eggplant emoji, and Cher humorously sang: 'And when we make it Facebook offish, that means more to me than marriage!'

Cher has long been praised for her ability to look much younger than her years, but the star claims she sees an 'old lady' when she looks in the mirror.

She told Today on Wednesday: 'I look in the mirror and I see this old lady looking back at me, and I have no idea how she got there!'

Cher also insisted to Maria Shriver that her upcoming Classic Cher show would 'probably be the last time' she went on tour, she noted that 'it's now or never.'

Dark edge: Cher vamped up on the sofa in a black ensemble with a bold statement necklace

She's bid the road goodbye several times before, including via Living Proof: The Farewell Tour in 2002, as well as her 2014 Dressed To Kill tour, which USA Today reported she'd called 'my final farewell tour' onstage.

Of entering her eighth decade, she confessed: 'I just don't know how to accept it - I don't want to, either - but I don't really know how to.'

The Moonstruck star quipped: 'If I put 70 candles on my cake, I would blow my brains out,' adding that she's 'never satisfied' with herself.

'I've never really been in love with Cher,' she said. 'She's all right, but I'm - it's like, I'm not a huge fan.'
