Riders are herding 750 bison on Utah's Antelope Island in an annual roundup of one of the country's largest and oldest public herds. Utah State Parks workers have moved the animals across the island so the bison can be weighed, tagged and given health checkups. Excess animals are typically sold to make sure the available food can support the population. This year marks the 30th annual roundup on the island - named for its native pronghorn antelope - on the Great Salt Lake, about 50 miles north of Salt Lake City.

Afghan hound Tea becomes internet sensation for owner Luke Kavanagh

Tea the Afghan hound is a decorated Australian show dog who gained a huge online following for her regal looks and graceful poise when a photo of her (left) was shared more than 1 million times on social media. She retired in August but still does a little work as an animal actor lending her image to pet food and perfume brands. Owner Luke Kavanagh (right and inset with Tea) calls her his 'queen' and says she laps up the attention like a supermodel.

An adorable and rare Golden Lion Tamarin monkey has been born at Adelaide zoo. The baby (inset) is the seventh offspring for the zoo's adult pair, mother Aurora (pictured right in main) and father Rio. The infant is also a welcomed addition to the zoo's international breeding program.
