With her plunging scarlet bikini top and tiny mini skirt, Charli XCX cut a distinctive figure as she took to the stage in Las Vegas on Friday night.

The 24-year-old star wore a visor in tribute to her Sin City hosts as she gave an energetic performance at the Downtown Vegas Events Center.

In fact the skirt was so short that she gave fans a flash of her bright pink underwear.

Her hair was pulled up into a high ponytail while she wore coordinating red and white trainers to help her move easily around the stage.

Large hooped earrings and blinging bracelets added to the rather dramatic look.

And it seems the star continued the party after her performance, tweeting a snapshot of herself in the outfit with the words: 'We're gonna keep it going...'

Charli, real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison, released her last album Sucker back in 2014, while EP Vroom Vroom was released earlier this year.

Speaking to MailOnline back in June, Charli discussed her life on and off the road as well as her signature style; but said that when it comes to fitness, she prefers a slice of pizza and 'loves curves'.

Asked if there was a secret to attaining her toned and trim figure, the raven-haired beauty explained that there really wasn't anything special about her routine.

'I mean I like curves, and I don’t really watch my weight too much,' she began, before adding: 'I’m into the gym but more for the outfits'.

And rather than hitting the weights or sweating her socks off in a bikram yoga class, Charli explained her fascination with the gym was more to do with the clothing.

When asked if she had a routine down at the gym a Charli confessed: 'When I say "into the gym"... I went to the gym for the first time last night, and I was way more into what I was wearing than what I was actually doing.'

But not one to be pressured into a point of view the Boom Clap hit-maker explained her positive outlook on enjoying the small things in life - explaining 'everyone is human'.

'I think you’ve just got to do your thing. I mean I love pizza, and I think everyone is human and they go for that stuff,' she said, before saying there's no point stressing 'about that stuff'.

But thinking of the closest thing to an exercise regime she has, she admitted her high-tempo dance routines might help, admitting: 'I guess being on stage is like exercise,' before giggling mischievously.
