The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has unrestricted financial reserves of about 13 times its budgeted annual expenses, following a one-time royalty sale in 2014. These funds, along with the public’s continuing support, are needed to help accelerate our efforts to pursue a lifelong cure for this fatal disease, develop lifesaving new therapies and help all people with CF live full, productive lives. Standard Operating Procedures for Online Purchases

RULES GOVERNING DRAWING FOR AN AUTOMOBILE

  1. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (a not-for-profit charitable organization) whose principal place of business is 3443 NW 55th Street, Bldg. 1, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, will sponsor a drawing for a 2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost® Premium Fastback. The drawing will be held at the 21st Annual Florida Classic 65 Roses Gala on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 9:00 p.m. at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. The winner will be selected through a random, blind drawing of ticket entry forms from tickets distributed by representatives of the CF Foundation. Ticket entries must be completed, returned to and received by the CF Foundation before 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
  2. No contribution is necessary.
  3. Participants and winner must be 21 years or older, a U.S. resident, and have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  4. Tickets may be obtained through representatives of the CF Foundation, or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to the address above or by calling 954-739-5006. Only official entries will be accepted. No facsimiles are permitted. Incomplete or illegible entries are void. Entries may not be resold and no refunds or replacements will be issued.
  5. Officers, directors and employees of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their immediate family members living in the same household are not eligible to participate and win.
  6. Vehicle MSRP $30,145. The winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, license, title and registration fees (including but not limited to 25% withholding tax on the value of the prize). Withholding tax must be collected and all appropriate documentation required by the CF Foundation must be completed before the winner can take possession of the vehicle.
  7. The CFF South Florida office received a donation of a 2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost® Premium Fastback to use as the prize for this drawing. The cost of the vehicle is underwritten by South Florida Ford Dealers.
  8. 500 drawing tickets are available; odds of winning depend on the number of tickets distributed. Drawing tickets are not tax-deductible.
  9. Participants do not have to be present to win. The winner will be the person whose name appears upon the ticket entry form drawn at random. In the event the participant whose name is drawn cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the drawing, an alternate ticket entry form will be drawn at random and the participant whose name appears upon the alternate ticket entry form will be deemed the winner. Vehicle shall only be delivered in the state of Florida. If for any reason winner cannot accept or receive vehicle within 30 days of notification, an alternate winner will be selected.
  10. The CF Foundation retains sole discretion to determine, and shall be the final judge of, compliance with the rules and conditions of this drawing.
  11. No substitution will be made for the advertised prize. Actual prize may vary from photos used in print. Vehicle cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods. If winner chooses a less expensive vehicle with the agreement of the car dealership there will not be any refund for difference.
  12. If the winner elects not to accept the vehicle, no substitution or exchange for cash or other goods will be provided.
  13. Any and all prizes, including the vehicle and the right to take possession of the vehicle, are non-transferable, non-assignable and may only be accepted by the eligible selected winner. In the event the winner is found ineligible or forfeits the prize, as described in these official rules, an alternate ticket will be selected at random within five (5) business days after forfeiture.
  14. This drawing complies with all state and federal laws and regulations. Tickets are void where prohibited by law and the name of the winner will be disclosed as required by law. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for CFF and Ford and/or their designees to use the winner’s name, address, photograph, testimonial and other likeness and/or prize information or personal exposition for promotional purposes, without compensation or notice to, or further consent of, the winner to the extent permitted by law.
  15. Neither the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation nor its officers, directors or employees provide any warranties, express or implied, with respect to the car. Without limiting the foregoing, specifically, neither the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation nor its officers, directors or employees provide warranties of fitness for a particular merchantability or assume or authorize any other person to assume for them any other obligation or liability in connection with the car or otherwise. Furthermore, neither the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, nor its officers, directors and/or employees assume any liability of any nature for any property loss, damage or personal injury occurring in connection with the vehicle and/or the drawing ceremony. No warranties, express or implied, are made or offered by the CF Foundation. Vehicle is provided “as is” with no guarantees or warranties from the CF Foundation or any other individuals or entities associated with this drawing.
  16. A copy of the official registration (#CH956) and financial information may be obtained from the Division of Consumer Services by calling toll-free 1-800-435-7352 within the state. Registration does not imply endorsement, approval or recommendation by the state. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has not retained a professional solicitor. 100% of each contribution is received by CFF.
