NFPA Journal examines aftermath of massive fertilizer facility explosion

March 19, 2014 – The latest issue of NFPA Journal®, the official magazine for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), investigates the aftermath of the immense explosion that occurred at a fertilizer plant in West, Texas on April 17, 2013 in the article In West’s Wake. The article examines the causes behind the explosion, its effects on the town left decimated by the blast, and features an exploration of chemical storage safety led by Texas State Fire Marshal Chris Connealy.
