NFPA Journal tackles the rise of social media use for emergency communications

January 15, 2014 - The newest edition of the NFPA Journal®, the official magazine for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), delves into the rise of social media and its effects on emergency response and communication management in the article “#Are You Prepared?” The story highlights several natural disasters in which social media played a key role in keeping both the affected public and emergency responders informed, as well as including helpful tips to build and maintain a strong online presence during a crisis.
