Toning it down a notch! Evangeline Lilly steps out in belted blazer and statement glasses ... after bizarre turn in checkered skirt

She caused quite a commotion as she arrived to a book signing decked out in a rather odd ensemble on Monday.

And Evangeline Lilly kept it more conservative while still flaunting her eclectic style as she made her way to a taping of The View on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old went for a more androgynous look in a tweed blazer belted at the waist and a pair of light grey slacks while maneuvering through the streets of Manhattan.

Evangeline tried to stay warm in the wintry getup which she teamed with an interesting pair of fingerless leather gloves and chic black stiletto heels.

Her short brunette bob battled the strong winds while her smooth complexion was adorned with heavy pale makeup, bronze rouge and a slick of bright red lipstick.

The Lost star added a pair of black rimmed statement eyeglasses for a trendy hipster effect.
