He plays lovable slob Oscar in his CBS sitcom The Odd Couple.

And Matthew Perry channeled a little bit of his onscreen character on Monday as he was spotted on his way to his hotel in New York.

The 47-year-old actor looked super casual in a v-neck t-shirt and plaid shirt with jeans and trainers.

Perry displayed a thick covering of stubble along with slightly disheveled locks to top of his off-duty look.

The Friends alum plays endearing slob Oscar on a reprisal of the classic 1970s television show The Odd Couple.

He stars opposite Thomas Lennon who plays uptight neat freak Felix his college buddy who becomes his roommate after the demise of their respective marriages.

He spoke to KMTV this week about why he enjoys his current role so much.

'I love playing Oscar 'cus it's really easy and he's kinda grumpy, I'm kinda grumpy, and you don't have to shave - you spend very little time in hair and makeup.' he said in his typically deadpan manner.

'You wear ridiculous clothes and you just eat and throw food on the ground.' he joked.

Earlier this month Perry appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show and chatted about his recently exposed Batcave, filled with Batman memorabilia, which - to Kimmel's intrigue - he has only been collecting for three or four years.
