  • On Monday last week he branded screaming concert-goers 'obnoxious'
  • Last Thursday he demanded Manchester fans be quiet during ballads
  • On Sunday night he dropped the mic and stormed off stage mid-concert
  • Parents slammed the pop star on Twitter, calling him a 'spoilt brat'

Furious parents have branded Justin Bieber a 'spoilt brat' after he stormed off stage mid-concert.

The pop star, 22, dropped the mic and flounced off after he was booed by fans for taking too long between songs during the show at Manchester Arena on Sunday.

It is the latest in a string of embarrassing outbursts from the singer since the start of his UK tour. On Thursday last week he told Manchester concert-goers to be quiet while he sung ballads. He also made headlines last Monday after he called concert-goers 'obnoxious' during a performance at Birmingham's Barclaycard Arena.

Parents of disappointed young fans took to Twitter to share their frustration, saying they had spent a 'fortune' on tickets for their children.

October 17: The singer made headlines when he called his young fans 'obnoxious' when they continued to scream during his gig at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham last week

Backlash: Parents of his young fans have hit out at the singer for his stroppy and rude behaviour. This furious mother tweeted how her daughter had paid a 'fortune' for tickets

Others labelled the singer 'ungrateful' and 'childish', calling on him to 'grow up' and 'treat his fans with respect'.

One mother said: 'I think you've got a nerve walking of stage. My daughter and friends paid a fortune to see you. The reason why you are there!'

The price of tickets for the singer's upcoming Glasgow dates start at £88 and can cost as much as £550 per person to stand in the 'pit' next to the stage.

Parents are also often faced with paying for the merchandise on sale at the gig. A hoodie with the word 'staff' printed on the front costs an eye-watering £94.

Bieber sparked an online backlash when he stormed off stage in Manchester Monday night after fans booed during an interlude, eager for him to continue singing.

Mobile phone footage shows how the singer then dropped the mic and marched off stage when the crowd refused to listen.

Criticism: Furious parents said the pop sensation needed to have 'more respect for his fans'

The pop star returned to the stage a few minutes later and said: 'Manc can't handle the talking so I won't talk.'

Before closing the show with his first hit single, Baby, Bieber then tried to justify the outburst.

He said: 'The reason why I was getting upset earlier was because I travelled across the whole world to come here and I dedicate my life to performing and bring smiles to people's faces.

'I feel that people were just not giving me the same respect back and it hurts a little bit so that's why. But we're gonna end it on this last song... Baby.'

Fans were divided on Twitter over the fiasco.

One wrote: 'Fame has well and truly gone to your head mate Justin Bieber!'

Another said: 'I just want tonights show to be over for him already my heart is breaking that they're soo disrespectful like that! PurposeTourManchester' (sic)

But parents appear to have come down on one side of the argument, blasting the pop star for storming off during the stage.

One, Joanna Louise Cairns, said: '@justinbieber needs to have more respect for his fans, if it wasn't for them he'd be a nobody my daughter is so upset after Manchester show.'

Stroppy: He responded by dropping his mic and walking off stage half-way through the show

She added: 'He needs to refund us all, it's okay calling all the fans and acting like a t**t but he'll still spend our money.'

Another named Andrew Law posted: 'I need you to know as a single parent I skint myself so my daughter could go see you in concert!!! & you throw a strop & walk off stage!! Do you not get that these SCREAMING teenagers put you where you are today??! #Disgraceful'.

And Julie Kirby wrote: 'I paid money again for my daughter to see you on stage again. For you to spit your dummy out. Time to grow up d******d.'

No stranger to controversy, Bieber also upset fans at another show in Manchester last Thursday when he asked fans to be quiet while he sung ballads.

Waste of money: Parents were outraged by the Manchester stunt, pointing out how much tickets cost. Others branded the singer 'ungrateful, rude and childish'

He told fans: 'I thought I could have a moment to say something, but if you guys want I can cut the bulls***!'

He added: 'I’m trying to engage, but if you guys don’t want to, I’ll play the music.'

The outburst prompted another online backlash from fans. One wrote: '@justinbieber #manchester was amazingggg.... Shame he was rude to his fans,' whilst another added: 'We love your music but you are RUDE!!!!!!!! @justinbieber.'

Once again some supporters came to his defence. One tweeted: 'One fan wrote: '@justinbieber #manchester was amazingggg.... Shame he was rude to his fans,' whilst another added: 'We love your music but you are RUDE!!!!!!!! @justinbieber.'

Outburst: Bieber hit out at fans during a concert at Manchester Arena on Thursday last week

Justification: Before closing the show with his first hit single, Baby, Bieber then tried to justify the outburst. He said he felt the crowd was not treating him with 'respect' during the show

It came days after he called fans in Birmingham 'obnoxious' for screaming during his gig last Monday night.

The singer asked the crowd not to drown him out when he was speaking and singing.

When fans started screaming again during an interlude Bieber hit back.

In a video captured by one of his fans, @purposesbieb, the singer strides about the stage before telling his fans: 'If, when I'm speaking, you guys could not scream at the top of your lungs. Is that cool with you guys? The screaming is just so obnoxious.'

He added: 'If we could just scream after the songs? Enjoy the songs, then scream, screaming is awesome. Screaming is fun.'
