What an honor! Victoria's Secret star Jasmine Tookes revealed as the lucky Angel who will wear the $3 MILLION gemstone-encrusted Fantasy Bra at this year's Fashion Show in Paris

Jasmine Tookes became a Victoria's Secret Angel only a year ago, but the model has already scored the role of a lifetime. 

It was announced on Wednesday that the 25-year-old California native has been chosen to strut down the catwalk in the $3 million Bright Night Fantasy Bra designed by Eddie Borgo at the 2016 Victoria's Secret Show in Paris — and she admitted that it has been difficult to keep such a tremendous secret. 

'I have known for five months, and I literally had to keep my mouth taped shut,' she told Daily Mail Online. 'I mean the only girls that knew were Taylor [Hill], Romee [Strijd], and Josephine Skriver because they were there the day of the surprise.'

'I think it was the hardest for Taylor to keep her mouth shut because she is like a wild child,' she said with a laugh. 

On Monday morning Victoria's Secret released a video revealing the very moment Jasmine learned she would be wearing the stunning bra, and the model was clearly shocked by the surprise. 

Jasmine was under the impression she would be on camera discussing the brand's bralettes, and her jaw actually dropped when she was asked if she would want to model the Fantasy Bra this year.

Finishing touches: The California native said she was surrounded by security guards, so she couldn't go very far during the shoot 

While she was in shock, Taylor, Romee, and Josephine proudly cheered for her before they gave her a big hug.

'I had no idea that I was going to be chosen to wear the Bright Night Fantasy Bra,' she told Daily Mail Online. 'It was such a surprise to me. 

'I don't know how they chose, but I am so honored to have this opportunity, and be able to walk down the runway with this beautiful thing.'

Jasmine said the first person she told was her mom, who was also overcome with emotion.

'I actually called her on FaceTime with [senior creative of Victoria's Secret] Ed Razek, and she just dropped into tears and didn't know what to say or what to do. It was awesome.'

'It was crazy going through the whole plaster experience because you have to sit still for like three hours and you can barely breathe because if you breathe it will shift a little bit,' she explained.

'They have to build the bra on the molding so that it fits perfectly to your body. So, it was a little crazy to be stiff for that long.'  

Jasmine, who has worn it only once so far, admitted that 'it's pretty heavy.'

'It weighs more than 450 carats, which is the heaviest bra I have ever worn,' she added. 

And while the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is still a few weeks away, Jasmine has already asked fellow Angel Lily Aldridge — who donned a $2 million Fantasy Bra last year — for advice. 

'I was like, "What do I do? How do I walk. How do I pose?" And she [told me], "Just be calm and be relaxed. It is the best moment and the best night, so just embrace it."'

The day before it was announced that she would be modeling the bra, Jasmine took to Instagram to share a video of herself giving it her all during a squat-heavy workout.  

'I have definitely been amping up my workouts a little bit more since I found out because I feel like all eyes are going to be on this amazing bra, so I had to, you know, step it up a little bit,' she said.  

Jasmine revealed the Bright Night Bra in a glamorous video for Vogue that sees her practicing her runway walk and striking a pose in a dream mansion, and the fun doesn't stop there.

Squat time: Jasmine took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a video of herself working out. She admitted that she has amped up her workouts since learning the exciting news 

The show, which airs on CBS on December 5, will be held in Paris for the first time, and Jasmine said it makes the special event even better.  

'I mean Paris is a city of fashion, so we are all very excited to be going there for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show,' she said. 'I think it will be magical and bring such a great energy to the show.' 

But before she hits the runway, Jasmine will be rocking another costume this weekend. 

'I am going to be Princess Jasmine [for Halloween] ... I was Princess Jasmine when I was like four years old, so this will be my adult Princess Jasmine,' she said. 'I am very excited because I love Halloween.'
