'I was falling madly, deeply in love': Miley Cyrus swoons over Florida singer Christian Cuevas on The Voice

Miley Cyrus claimed she was falling 'madly, deeply' in love during The Voice on Tuesday with 20-year-old Florida native Christian Cuevas.

Christian, who works in a guitar store and studies vocal performance, performed Luther Vandross' version of Superstar on the NBC singing competition show.

'Christian, I felt like you were just looking at me. I was falling madly, deeply in love with you,' cooed the 23-year-old pop star.

'Christian you looked at me like that too, it made me feel a little weird, I'm not going to lie to you,' quipped Adam Levine.

'But don't be weirded out by this, I'm obsessed with your voice,' he added.

'I'm starting to get weirded out at this point,' joked Blake Shelton.

Christian had been paired by coach Alicia Keys against Arizona teen Belle Jewel as the knockout rounds continued.

High praise: Florida singer Christian took Miley's compliments in stride

Belle had tried her lungs on a rendition of Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House.

'She takes these 80s songs and puts this jazzy, 1940s thing on top of them,' said Alicia.

'She's a real artist,' she added.

Miley also had high praise for stylish Belle.

'Belle I love everything about you,' Miley told 18-year-old Belle.

During their critique Adam called Blake a 'hillbilly' and Miley, who also has Southern roots, got annoyed.

Good one: Adam Levine called Blake Shelton a 'hillbilly' during his critique

'Don't talk about me like that!' she huffed.

'I forgot there's two of them now,' sighed the Maroon 5 frontman from Los Angeles.

'You came up here, both of you, and you both completely delivered,' Alicia told her team members proudly.

Her too: Miley quickly noted her Southern roots

Good times: The Voice host Carson Daly smiled along with Belle and Christian as the judges bantered

She then picked Orlando singer Christian.

'He had a lot to prove with the song he chose, he owned it, I was blown away,' said the Fallin' singer.

Miley immediately stole Belle for herself.

Owned it: Alicia Keys declared Christian the winner of the knockout round matchup

'That could have been the fastest steal in knockout history,' said host Carson Daly.

'She has her own style in every way,' beamed Miley.

Country music superstars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill acted as guest advisors for all the judges.

Feels right: Miley was stoked to get Belle on her team

The first pairing came from Team Blake with soulful Bindi Liebowitz from New Jersey up against California-resident Courtney Harrell.

Background singer/songwriter Courtney, 36, hit some difficult notes with Ike and Tina Turner's River Deep Mountain High.

Receptionist Bindi, 23, performed a rendition of Dusty Springfield's Son Of A Preacher Man.

Special advisors: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were back as guest advisors for all the judges

'I think Courtney grabbed this one,' remarked Alicia.

Miley was also keen to take Courtney on tour with her.

'You should never be singing behind anyone ever again,' she said.

Blake chose Courtney for the live playoffs.

Listening hard: Blake listened hard before making his decision to keep Courtney

'She's going to be a problem for these other teams,' he predicted.

Next was Adam's Billy Gilman, 28, from Rhode Island, versus Ponciano Seoane, 25, from Texas.

Billy, a child Grammy Award nominee, did Rachel Platten's Fight Song.

New father Ponciano tried out I See Fire by English singer Ed Sheeran.

'That could have been a song that you wrote, it was that believable,' Blake told Ponciano.

Alicia poetically noted a 'tentativeness' in Billy that transformed into a 'lion'.

Billy won the round.

'You can emote so well…you have a very special gift,' Adam told him.
