'I’ve always had a man crush on him': Rob Gronkowski goes undercover as a Lyft driver and gushes about fellow Patriots player Tom Brady to unsuspecting passengers

NFL player Rob Gronkowski went undercover as a Lyft driver, chatting to unsuspecting passengers about everything from astrophysics to fellow teammate Tom Brady.

The New England Patriots tight end donned a long, blonde wig and sunglasses to pick up five different people outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

'The Gronk' pretended to be a Patriots superfan, raving about the different players until he finally revealed his true identity to the shock of his passengers. 

Gronkowski put on a high-pitched voice and claimed he studied astrophysics, but it wasn't before long that he started talking about sports. This passenger said she was into ice skating

This unsuspecting passenger said he was a Detroit Lions fan, to which Gronkowski responded that his declaration of loyalty 'hurt my feelings'

Gronkowski initially tried to put on a high-pitched voice and claimed he studied astrophysics, but it wasn't before long that he started talking about sports.

But the passengers never caught on, and one woman said her interest went as far as ice skating.

When one man shared that he was loyal to his hometown of Detroit, Gronkowski responded: 'I'm a Patriots fan, and it hurt my feelings that you said you were a Detroit Lions fan.'

Gronkowski has played for the Patriots since he was drafted in 2010

Gronkowski also took the opportunity to rave about himself and his signature touchdown move.

He said: 'You know, that Tom guy? He does throw it to Gronk, and the way he spikes the football is so cool to me.' 

He also gushed to another clueless passenger about quarterback Brady, saying: 'I love that guy. I’ve got like four posters of him.' 

One woman asked what he thought of Brady's new haircut, and Gronkowski went on to say his teammate 'looks like he's 20'.

Gronkowski also commented on his teammate's skincare routine and declared: 'I’ve always had a man crush on him.'

Some passengers were shocked and burst into laughter when Gronkowski revealed his true identity

Gronkowski eventually pulled into a parking lot and showed off his signature football spike after he ripped off his disguise

The tight end pushed his passengers closer to realizing his true identity, asking, 'What if you met Rob Gronkowski?' 

But one man threw an unexpected curveball, saying he already had.

The passenger claimed to have met the football player at a bar in Boston called Society on High, adding, 'He's a great guy!',  but Gronkowski refuted his story before ripping off his disguise.

Other passengers were shocked, bursting into laughter before Gronkowski pulled into a parking lot and pulled off his signature football spike.

One woman concluded: 'The wig was pretty sexy, he should probably wear it during the game.'
