Billy Bush is already being considered for a new TV role one week after being fired from Today following his role in Trump 'grab them by the p****' tape.

'Executives at different networks are already discussing if Billy is hire-able and if they can bring him on to any of their shows as a personality,' a source told Us Weekly.

Networks are talking about which shows he would be a good fit for or 'if the public would need a break from him before bringing him on a show,' the source added.

The TV host confirmed he was leaving NBC last week after more than 15 years on the network.

Bush said in a statement: 'I am deeply grateful for the conversations I've had with my daughters, and for all of the support from family, friends and colleagues. I look forward to what lies ahead.'

His exit comes one week after he was suspended by NBC for comments he made during a 2005 Access Hollywood interview with Donald Trump.

Bush, 45, had just started his new job in August.

A report on Friday claimed that Bush could be walking away with $10million, but his lawyer said in a statement that this figure was inaccurate.

Exact details of the settlement are not known at this time. It does not include a non-compete clause, so Bush can look for jobs at rivals stations according to an individual with knowledge of the settlement agreement.

Bush joined NBC's flagship morning show in August after signing a deal that was said to be worth $3.5million a year.

Bush's attorney Marshall Grossman spoke with The Hollywood Reporter last week about the 2005 interview with Trump over, saying that his client would have been risking his job if he had not laughed at Trump's statements and made lewd comments of his own.

'If Billy had been passive or responded 'Shut the f*** up' to Trump, Billy would have been out of a job the next day,' said Grossman.

That was not the case however according to Trump's wife Melania, who said that Bush 'egged' her husband on and got him to say 'dirty and bad stuff' in an interview with Anderson Cooper on Monday evening.

According to TMZ, NBC had been sitting on the tape in hopes of releasing it before the second debate on Sunday to have the biggest possible impact on the election.

Many executives at the network have an 'open disdain' for Trump according to the report.

That plan was changed however with Hurricane Matthew and the tape release was pushed back to Monday, a move that reportedly made at least one individual inside the organization so angry that they decided to leak the audio to The Washington Post.

A source at NBC told DailyMail.com that the network at no point tried to edit Bush out of the damning tape, despite reports to the contrary that have emerged over the past few days.

In the tape, Bush can be heard calling actress Arianne Zucker, who was then on Days of Our Lives, a 'hot as s***,' and also saying nothing while Trump goes on about his co-host Nancy O'Dell.

'I did try and f*** her. She was married,' Trump tells Bush on the tapes, the transcript of which was first published by The Washington Post on Friday.

Trump went on to say: 'I moved on her like a b****, but I couldn't get there. And she was married. Then all of a sudden I see her, she's now got the big phony tits and everything. She's totally changed her look.'

Bush later apologized, but according to one insider that was not enough for the network.

Bush, who is married with three teenage daughters, released a statement shortly after the 2005 tape surfaced two weeks ago.

'Obviously I'm embarrassed and ashamed. It's no excuse, but this happened eleven years ago. I was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along. I'm very sorry,' said Bush, who was 33 at the time.

The network has launched an internal investigation to determine who knew about the audio and may have leaked the tape.
