Three siblings have been arrested in connection to a missing Virginia police officer who was last seen Friday night, Virginia state police announced Wednesday.

Authorities are yet to locate 45-year-old Waynesboro Police Captain Kevin Quick, but the three siblings were arrested at a hotel in the Washington D.C. suburb of Alexandria - more than 100 miles from where Quick was last seen - and have been linked to a robbery on Sunday night, during which one person was shot and Quick's 1999 Toyota 4Runner apparently was used as a getaway vehicle.

Missing: Officer Kevin Quick was last seen Friday night leaving his mother's house on his way to visit his girlfriend

Daniel Mathis and his sister Mersadies Shelton have been charged with grand larceny in the theft of Quick's SUV, which was found abandoned after Sunday night's robbery. A second sister, Shantai Shelton, was booked on an outstanding warrant from Louisa County, east of Charlottesville, where Sunday night's robbery occurred.

In addition to the grand larceny charge, Mathis was charged with robbery, malicious wounding and several weapons charges in connection to the Sunday Robbery.

Adding to the mystery of the officer's disappearance is the fact that two men were spotted driving his SUV in the days following his disappearance. It's unclear whether authorities believe that Mathis was one of the men seen driving Quick's SUV.

Quick was last seen at the home of his mother about 10:15 p.m. Friday. He had planned to go to the home of his girlfriend - with whom he has a young child - who lives about 20 miles away.

Quick never showed up at his girlfriend's house.

Connected: Authorities say 18-year-old Daniel Mathis was involved in an armed robbery where Quick's SUV was used as the getaway car

Family: Mersadies Shelton, Mathis' sister, also was arrested in connection to the theft of Quick's car and an armed robbery on Sunday

Warrant: Shantai Shelton also was arrested on a warrant. Police suspect she, too, may have been involved in the robbery

Quick's family didn't alert authorities about his disappearance until he failed to show up for a party he was throwing for his brother's 40th birthday on Saturday.

According to authorities, Quick had hired a DJ, decorated and sent out the invitations for the party. When he didn't show up, that's when his family realized something was wrong.

'Family was really important to him. He wouldn't just ditch out on the family,' Waynesboro police spokesman Sergeant Brian Edwards told CNN.

Quick worked as a reservist in the police department, while his day job for the last 15 years has been as a production coordinator for the synthetic fabrics company Invista.

Three weeks ago, however, Quick was laid off. He was given a severance package - a package Edwards says made the split 'amicable.'

Mystery: This man was seen at two different ATM machines where Quick's stolen SUV also was shown on surveillance footage

Authorities say this is one of two men seen driving Quick's 1999 Toyota 4Runner SUV following his disappearance

Edwards says authorities have ruled out the possibility that Quick had disappeared on his own accord. He says authorities suspect foul play in his disappearance.

The last time anyone heard from Quick was a text message he sent his girlfriend on Friday to tell her he was on his way.

His phone has been shut off since just before 11 p.m. Friday - shortly after he sent the final text message to his girlfriend.

Authorities say they've 'traced every possible route that he could have taken' to get to various locations he might have traveled. However, investigators are yet to find any trace of Officer Quick.
