Kim Kardashian's sex tape is turned into virtual reality 'experience' using lookalike actress by porn website which bought it for $5million

  • Vivid Entertainment is selling 'The Kim Kardashian Superstar Experience
  • It uses scenes from the starlet's sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray Jay
  • The video was distributed in 2007 apparently without the star's consent
  • She sued Vivid but dropped the lawsuit when given $5million settlement

The porn website which bought Kim Kardashian's sex tape has turned it into a virtual reality 'experience' where customers can interact with a lookalike of the star.

Vivid Entertainment is calling the service The Kim Kardashian Superstar Experience.

In it, scenes from the reality TV starlet's infamous film with her ex-boyfriend Ray J are used.

A lookalike actress then interacts with the viewer, touching herself while speaking to them.

It can be accessed through membership to the site which costs up to $119 per year.

'This virtual experience gives you your first chance to see what it would be like to make your own personal home video with the reality celebutante, Miss Kim Kardashian.

'She comes right out of her famous home video with Ray J to have some fun with you,' a description accompanying the service said.

Kim sued the adult entertainment company in 2007 after it released the tape which it bought for $1million from an unidentified third party.

She dropped her lawsuit the same year after being promised a reported $5million settlement from the company.

It is not clear whether the virtual reality experience is in breach of the terms of their agreement.

The 'experience' sees a lookalike adult actress talking to users as though she was the star

Kim made the tape with ex-boyfriend Ray Jay while they holidayed in Mexico in 2003

Daily Mail has contacted representatives for the star and the entertainment company for clarification.

The tape catapulted Kim, now 36, to international fame. It was previously speculated she had leaked it herself in pursuit of stardom.

Kim sued Vivid Entertainment for releasing the tape (above) in 2007

Author Ian Halperin claimed in his book Kardashian Dynasty that it was Kim's mother, Kris Jenner, who orchestrated the tape's release but that the beauty consented to it.

Kim earlier dismissed any such speculation.

In an interview with Oprah, she admitted that while the tape 'introduced' her, she said she would never have put it into the public sphere herself.

'Why would anyone put that humiliation on their family like that?'

'I've always been concerned about humiliating the family and that's what I did.

'And that's something that I'm going to have to live with for the rest of my life and have to explain to my children one day.

'Imagine the conversation that I had to have with my grandmother.'

Kim has avoided the spotlight since being held at gunpoint during Paris Fashion Week in a terrifying jewelry heist.

Kim has been keeping a low profile since she was held at gunpoint in Paris. She is seen above earlier this month in one of only a few public outings

The star's mother Kris Jenner (left with her during her second pregnancy in 2012) was previously accused of leaking the tape. Kim is now married to rapper Kanye West (right) last month
