Trim Marsh! Kym shows off svelte figure in chic little black dress as she attends Trafford Centre Christmas Lights switch on

With her chic little black dress and nude patent leather high heels, Kym Marsh looked the picture of sophistication as she arrived at the Trafford Centre on Thursday.

The 40-year-old Coronation Street star wore her dark brown tresses in a chic updo  while her eyes were lined with smokey black eye make-up.

A slick of glossy nude lipstick completed the look.

Kym co-hosted the Trafford Centre's annual event with Key 103 breakfast DJ Mike Toolan.

X Factor runner-up Fleur East was on hand to flick the switch, arriving in leather trousers and a denim kimono style jacket.

Meanwhile, Kym - who plays Michelle Connor on the soap - was recently forced to deny claims she was thinking of quitting Corrie, calling the reports 'ridiculous' and 'sensationalised'.

The final countdown: The trio launched into the big switch on

Her denial came after she told Daily Star Sunday that she had considered leaving the show earlier in the year, confessing: 'I thought about it for a long time. It was obviously a huge decision.'

Kym's contract is up for renewal in June, and she admitted that every year she worries about whether she'll be asked to stay on.

She said: 'It’s always something that when you are at the end of a contract, you are thinking ‘Are they going to want me to stay? What do I do?

'That’s always something that people think. Having been on the show for 10 years, you do sit there and go, ‘Would I want to? Would I like to?'
